So how much and do you guys always add these to you mixes? I read on here a few times you can add cotton candy to a blend as em? Or pre mix a 10ml of pg and cotton candy . what % is it to equal out? The same goes with the lemon juice. Do you guys add these by default?

TFA Cotton Candy flavoring is basically a pre-mixed 10% dilution liquid. Think other vendors might be the same.

As far as lemon juice goes I usually add it to my fruit mixes at 1 drop per 5ml or 1 drop per 10ml depending on the juice

I also started adding apple cider vinegar to my tobacco mixes and it seems to really add some depth to the flavors like lemon juice does for fruits.

There really is no rule of thumb, just try it and if it works for you keep doing it.

Rule of thumb hmmmm!!!

There are none.

Oh yes there is one rule of thumb. "Add nothing to the mix until you've steeped and tasted it".

How to use enhancers would have been a better question.

Vinegar is used to perk up tobacco flavors. I usually find people adding this when in fact the problem was they just didn't add enough tobacco flavor the first time and the flavor faded after it steeped. It can some times blend tobacco flavors when using more then one type of tobacco but there are better additives to blend such as Vapeing wizard.

Lemon juice is used to perk up fruit and candy mixes and the same can be said for that as well. Make sure you add the correct amount of flavor and let it steep first before making any adjustments. Also the lack of flavor could also mean the absents of or not enough sweetener so consider this before adding lemon. Also consider that you may have over flavored your mix. This will also lead to a absents of flavor.

Think of vineger and lemon juice as a tool of last resort. Because the problem is most likely a mistake you made along the way in your mix.

What exactly is sweetener? Humm good question.

There are basically 2 types of sweetener.

EM is a sweetener that gives the perception of sweetness. It is a lot more forgiving when trying to give a mix a moderate sweetness. If you use a little to much it's OK. It won't come back to bite you in the arss. You can slightly over do it and it won't make much difference. The premixed version comes in a 5 or 10% PG solution and can be used right out of the bottle. I prefer this in my tobacco mixes. When used In small amounts it acts more like a smoother then a sweetener to take a harsh edge off tobacco.

Sacarilous (Not sure of spelling) Is a splenda type sweetener and small amounts will add lots and lots of sweetness so you need to be careful with percentages. This is a good choice for your candies, desert, fruit and creamy mixes. This can be found in 5 or 10% premixed solutions.

Notice I did not recommend percentages except to describe there effects. Why you ask. Because (Oh I love this saying) "TASTE IS VERY SUBJECTIVE" So let your taste buds guide you and always start with the lowest recommended amount, Steep, taste then adjust.

The rule of Thumb was a short and brutal affair. While well know for making war, see Thumb War, he had trouble making peace and left his fingerprints on a number of botched declarations of peace. Some say if Finger, of the Middle house, had remained in court instead of flipping off then the declarations would have been penned successfully.

(Sorry, saw so many "rule of thumb" in here, my brain went to weird places.)

Thank you all for the help and Danny for the in depth reply. It cleared up a lot of question. As for Hoosiers blog/post I have read it in the past and this tapatalk app doesn't have a option for me to view it. I did favorite on my PC though and when I get off from work I will refresh my memory.

I hardly ever use sweetener.

But...

Lemon juice (LJ) @ 1drop per 3ml for my fruit and 'light' recipes.

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) @ 1 drop per 3ml for my dessert, bakery and 'savory' recipes. BTW, I hear dat white vinegar (WV) works just as well.

Sorry, I don't do 'bakky mixes. Can't help ya dere...
