Just wanted to share a bit of a "wow" moment, and add my 2c to the eGo Twist VV battery and eGo Vision/Stardust reviews.

Yesterday was my 19 month anniversary of starting to vape. Haven't had an analog since then, either. I started with an elusion, moved on to a 510, and for the past year or so have been a fan of the eGo. I tried pre-filled cartos, DIY cartos, blue foam, drip tips, clearomizers etc before settling on the eGo-T as my trusty go-to rig of choice. I haven't used anything else for about a year now. But when all of my attys started to fail at once last week (woe), I thought I'd try something new...

I'd looked at reviews of the eGo VV batteries, and of the Vision tanks and there seemed to be a mixed reaction to both. I don't buy new gear very often, so I thought "really, how bad can it be?" and decided to take a chance on a bit of a splurge. So glad I did!

First, the eGo Twist VV: I've never tried a variable voltage battery before. They always looked so bulky, and while some of the mods out there are really pretty, they didn't fit in with my fairly sedate not-freak-the-general-public-out-by-looking-like-I-have-a-faceful-of-something-from-NASA style (that's just me). Granted, the eGo twist is a lot bigger than a regular, non-twist battery, but it's still within my comfort zone. And the difference between the voltages has been a real eye-opener. I'm still playing around with it, but the difference in warmth, throat hit and flavour between the different settings is huge. Basically, it's like having 3 different rigs for the price of one! The build quality is good, and unlike some other people I've had no problems with the twisty bit that adjusts the settings (not too hard, not too loose, easy enough to read). I'm sure there are better VV batteries out there, but I would highly recommend this to newbies and experienced vapers alike; whether you just want to test the waters of VV, or as a cheap backup for your fancier VV rig.

Secondly, the eGo Vision / Stardust tank. Easy to fill. Looks great. No leakage. Excellent vapour production. Wicks just fine (I haven't had a dry hit yet). Tastes...AMAZING! Like seriously, wow! I have it running on around 4V. At the lower 3.2V end of the scale it's a bit weak in both vapour and taste. At 4.8V it's a bit too warm, and tastes a little burnt. But in the middle it's the best flavour I've ever experienced in any of the setups I've ever tried. And best of all, there was no nasty primer taste to begin with- it just vaped great right out of the box. Very, very pleased. Looking at other reviews I'm guessing that quality control may be a bit lacking for this product, but at AUD$4.00 it's totally worth taking a chance to see if it works for you too.

Lastly, to compare sizes I've taken the photo below. Left to right I have: 650mah standard eGo battery with a 510 atomiser and drip tip, 650mah standard eGo battery with an eGo-C atty and tank, 650mah eGo Twist VV battery with an eGo Vision tank.

Wow, that ended up longer than I'd planned. If you've made it this far, thanks for your patience!

There's a similar model they sell in Germany, it's called "Ego Coil Changeable Clear Cartomizer", but the first version seemed to have had problems with cap cracking (mine did crack recently, but will be replaced by the vendor) and didn't came with long wicks, but short instead... But there are coil units at varying ohm strengths with long or short wicks...
The model i have is the short wick version, but the taste is truly amazing, beats my trusted cartos by leagues, and as my trusted Kanger horizontals seem to fail me more and more i think i'll join the clearo posse when the XXL Kangers are used up. xD
