After reading it over, they are more concerned with getting people to sell it than to actually sell a safe smoking product. It's a MLM thing with a product that is way overpriced.

I have scoured the internet and I have yet to find a review on this cig.

True,

Given the distributor option is no cost, most will automatically become a distributor to save the $50. commission, so I doubt you will find very many independent reviews. I did my research, as most here are doing, so this is a good forum to learn about the different products first before you decide.

It is useless to post a personal review, as I quit smoking years ago, but what I have found is it would be easy to start smoking again as I enjoyed it, except for the health issues of course. I have sold a few to non distributors, and then they became distributors, so that is a good sign. I don't personally see a whole lot of difference among the three I tried, so it is all about personal preference.

Taste is always an issue, and like most smokers, you probably tried several brands before you settled on one for life, at least that is how I did it. I never liked methanol smokes, but it seems many do like it with electronic smokes, so flavor is subjective. I like Marlboro, but it has been too long since smoking a tobacco smoke I could not say it tastes exactly the same, but darn close as I recall.

Personally, I am glad I chose Revelle, it just made more sence to become distributor to get product for less than $80. with discount and commissions, so say what you want about direct sales or MLM, but it really comes down to cost in the end since I see the same quality, if not better than all the others, many which cost more, so I am biased, take it for what it is, a personal review.

There's nothing wrong with selling the item as long as it's a GOOD item. I've tried several in the short amount of time I've been using e-cigs. I want a good vapor and good hits, period. However, I do NOT want to pay out the wazoo for it if it's just adequate or below. And not getting any unbiased reviews really bothers me. That's a LOT of money for no reviews.

I've got 6 different kinds of e-cigs. (I've invested a lot of money over the last month.) I've got some cheap ones. I use those for riding the motorcycle so I don't worry about losing it or breaking it. My more expensive e-cigs I use at home and work.

Here's a problem I see with Revelle. It's practically the same price as the Janty KISS Box, which offers you a LOT more bang for the buck. If we want former smokers and new e-smokers to stay that way, let's not make it more expensive to QUIT than it is to smoke. OR, give us a reason to pay the $149 bucks for the Revelle. Understand what I'm saying?

Agreed,

Given time, you will see more people voicing their opinions, but you will never see any who are just users in my opinion. One reason is this, who would be just a retail customer if they can register to be a distributor at no cost and save $50., which brings price down to under $100.00?

On the other hand, since you have tested six different brands, and yes, some are cheap, as in, you get what you pay for, but like you said, quality is the one you use at home, and that says it all, quality will win out over cheap products every time in the end.

I have not tried all the units you have, so I cannot comment on which are the best on the market, but like you, I have researched them all through forums like this, and this tells the story, but not the whole story, for Revelle is newest on market, so it will take some time to see user comments, and again, most will be distributors like I am as I wanted to save the $50.00 retail commission and put it in my pocket.

Like you have probably found, when people see you smoking an e-smoke, they ask you, what are you smoking? Well, that is what I found, and then the next question was, where did you buy it? I don't know about you, but by simply handing out a business card, whether I am eating out at restaurant, at casino, wherever smokers are, they are all interested, and in my opinion, I would rather smoke, eat out at restaurants and gamble while getting paid for it, rather than paying, and that is enough reason for me to use Revelle over all others. lol

Call me cheap, that is OK, but I am not stupid enough not to want my smokes for free, which was my first goal, and now enjoy eating out and gambling for free as each visit more than compensates for my primary habit. To each their own, but you asked about price, so now you know which system will pay you to use it, not you pay for it, now there is the difference, and I like it.

Wait, the Revellie comes with two atomizers, and only one battery? That's odd.

I found this in their FAQ...

"How Long will the Atomizer Last?
An atomizer is consider a consumable and will work through about 6 cartridges before it should be replaced."

6 cartridges?! Is that normal?
I haven't tried e-cigs yet but want to. I didn't realize that atomizers were a consumable part.

I can respect what you are saying "GetPaid."

BUT...

Those of us who don't want to be on the sales end and want a better alternative to smoking are more interested in purchasing the product IF it is any good and worth the $150 bucks you are asking.

Sorry dude, but I don't wanna pay YOU to smoke. I want a review on this cig and why it should be worth $150.

I just joined, so I can't start a new thread in the Reviews forum, so I'll post it here..

First, a bit of background...

I recently discovered e-cigs through a buddy of mine. From the first moment that he explained what it was to me, I was hooked. He just so happens to be "working" for Revelle. I didn't know that there were any other e-cigs out there until recently, when I started browsing different e-cig websites.. I was determined to order one and rid my life of traditional tobacco cigs.

Moving on, to my experience...

I signed up as an independent distributor at Revelle initially for the discount, and the idea to maybe make a few bucks selling the e-cigs to friends and relatives. I ordered my new InLife(yes, they changed their name) "Prestige" unit on Friday.

And now for the review..

Ordering:

Their distributor control panel on the website is absolutely horrible. It looks like a 12 year old kid designed it. Nevertheless, ordering was pretty straight forward. I added their new Prestige unit to my cart, and proceeded to checkout. The price is $99.00 US, and they still come with 2 atomizers and one battery. After a very simple, and somewhat questionable order form, my order was placed, and I was directed to a new window that instructed me to print a receipt for my records. I printed it, and logged into my email account to see if I got any kind of confirmation... nada. I waited about another hour, and still nada.. So I called my buddy up. He told me that the only confirmation is the receipt that I had previously printed. I was a bit thrown off, but thought "ok... let me check my online banking to see if they charged me yet.." sure enough, they had. I give it a "D" because of how little they give you. No tracking number, no email, nada.. just that one receipt.

Shipping:

I bought one for me as well as one for my mother on Friday, and I splurged on the 2-day shipping for my unit. As my luck would have it, they both showed up at my doorstep today (Tuesday). So shipping gets an "A" from me.

Box Appearance:

They were packaged nicely, and their box looked really classy. It had a magnetic flap in the front that opened it like a horizontal book. The material was very thick and gave off a really professional feel. Definitely an "A"

The product:

It looks exactly, I mean IDENTICAL to the photo of the Puresmoker.com DSE901B.. When I opened the box, I discovered a manual, the charger, 2 sample packs of No, Low, Med, and High cartridges (which also look identical to Puresmoker's mini carts), 2 atomizers, and one battery. It appears well made. All of the pieces fit together nicely, and it has "InLife" written in an elegant cursive font on one side, and "Prestige" written in the same font on the other.

The "e-smoking" experience:

I charged the battery for 8 hours while I was at work, and hurried home to try my new e-cig out! I am new to these things, so I didn't know what to expect. I screwed my battery into my atomizer, and took out the empty tip that came inside. I opened up a Low nic cart to test it out, and it clicked right in. I took a draw and I could feel the vapor in my throat, and lungs. When I blew it out, I was shocked to see the huge cloud that appeared. It quickly dissipated, and I took another draw. The taste isn't all that great, at all. It wasn't that of tobacco, hookah, or anything that I have ever tasted. A bit like plain PG. Kind of an anti-freeze'ish taste. It was kind of harsh on the throat, and tasted horrible.. so I was a bit let down. I changed out the atomizer, and the new one seems to be a bit smoother. This thing puts out alot of "smoke", in my unexperienced opinion. At least the amount of a traditional cig, if not more. I give the smoke amount an "A" in my book as well.

Pics:

Coming soon! (After I hit 15 posts.. lol!)

Hope you guys enjoyed my review!

Hey, thanks, I've been wondering about them. They've changed their product, but their business model still seems shady. So, how much are spares?

Yeah, it does seem shady at first glance, but it looks relatively harmless, since you don't have to put up any kind of major CC info when signing up.. you just buy the product at your "distributor" price and sell it for their MSRP.. they supposedly compensate you when you have people "under" you, and they purchase units. I am not too clear on their system, but I have a job, so I doubt I will ever be.. lol.

The pricing is as follows:

The price for 8 cartridges is $24.95

A new atomizer is $14.95

A new battery is $39.95

and a car charger is $19.95

A hundred dollars, and another 40 for a second battery? You realize you could get the same thing for about $60, don't you? $50 for a 901 starter kit, and $10 for a second atomizer. I don't think they are harmless. MLM schemes are little better than fraud. They scam you out of almost 3 times the typical price, then if you want to get anything out of your "distributership" you basically have to scam others into buying the same bad deal. Plus, according to their FAQ, they only expect their atomizers to last less than a week: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ew-post17735.html?highlight=Revelle#post17735

I definitely agree to an extent. Products are overpriced everywhere. Some people sell similar things, re-branded, for more all the time. If I had known about the puresmoker.com DSE901 prior to my revelle..er.. InLife purchase, I would have definitely purchased that instead... with alot of extras.. but I guess you live you learn, eh? :D

As far as the atomizer thing is concerned.. that was up there before they came out with their new model. I heard that they changed the whole design, and alot of the site still hasn't been updated. I hate it's navigation, and it is really confusing at times. Compared to alot of the sites out there, it looks like crap.

I don't beleive in MLM schemes. ESPECIALLY ones that make you buy something up front. I just signed up for this, because nothing was necessary up-front, and I bought the Prestige unit for a decently discounted price.. not knowing that the 901 would have been nearly the same product, and half as expensive. Hopefully the parts are interchangeable so I can buy replacements from CaSH..
