REO's Mods | Home of the REO PV
I've had the Reo Mini for three weeks now, and it has amazed me from the very start. It's been a compact, cleverly designed, well made mod that's enjoyable to vape.

I was recently given the opportunity to purchase the larger version of the Mini, the Reo Grand.* It's basically a upsized version of the mini designed to use a 6ml juice bottle and 18650 battery versus the 3ml and 14500 on its baby brother. And like its pint sized sibling, the Grand uses a native 510 connection and can use 901 attys with a simple adapter. Everything I've said about the Mini applies to the Grand, save its exceptionally small size. And it also holds the door more securely in place with two magnets instead of one.
Despite the fact that I own a Mini, I don't regret the purchase of the Grand. Not for a second. For starters, the 18650 battery will last even a nicotine addicted vape monkey like me through a whole day. Not an easy task for any mod. The same goes for the juice bottle. I can confidently throw the mini itself in my shirt or jacket pocket in the morning and know that my vaping needs for the day are taken care of, atty failure notwithstanding. Vaping is now as easy and uncomplicated as smoking....it's about time. The Grand, unlike the mini, can easily accommodate two cr123a's for HV vaping. The performance of the lr510 with a 18650 pushing current to it makes this unnecessary, IMHO, but it's always nice to have other options.
I can use the Grand with my favorite batteries, AW IMR (high drain) 18650's. When coupled with the lr510 attys, they help the Grand to effortlessly put out tons of rich, tasty vape. While this can also be done with the Mini and its smaller batteries, it somehow requires a bit more effort to do so. The Grand hits like a freakin' freight train for me every time I push the button. This may make it a bit easier to pop a low resistance atty on the Grand, but it's worth it; especially with deals on these attys at five bucks or less.
Like the Mini, the Grand can use VG natively and PG and thinner juices with a reducer tube that fits onto the tip of the inlet tube inside the bottle to prevent flooding. But unless you're a PG fanatic or have issues with VG, stick with straight VG or a VG heavy mix. These juices reduce the learning curve of both mods to the point where an inexperienced or even new vaper can get the hang of them in almost no time at all.
The comparisons to the Mini may leave a prospective purchaser wondering which model to buy. In my opinion, it's largely a matter of personal preference as to the size of the mod. My wife thinks the Grand is a bit too big for her to carry around, but my Mini has somehow magically found its way into her purse. Since you can easily tote a couple of spare 14500's and 3oz juice bottles, either one can be a valid choice.
Considering everything that this mod has to offer, the price of $134.80 shipped makes it a bargain. So much of a bargain that they're incredibly hard to get. The first run of 100 units sold out in less than twenty minutes. They will probably get even harder to purchase as word of it gets out to the vaping community in general. Truth be told, the Grand is probably undervalued at this price. I'm fully expecting to see something happen similar to the Carlos Juice Box phenomenon, where early purchasers of that mod were able to sell them on the ECF classifieds for twice their original asking price. And before you ask, mine is NOT for sale.
Granted, I'm only a day into this mod, and it generally takes me a couple of weeks or a month to find any flaws or shortcomings with a new vape. But I'm absolutely impressed with Redeyedancer's latest offering. This just may be the best mod I've ever tried.
*Why on Earth he didn't name this the 'Reo Grande' is beyond me. Geez, danged Yankees.....
