I run a Sigelei Fuchai 200w mod with a tfv4 using .4 ohm sextile coils and a Kbox 200w with a rafale using .5 ohm coils. Usually 40 to 60 watts on the tfv4 and 50 to 70 watts on the rafale. I have been using Imren 3200 mah 40 amp and Awt 3000 mah 40 amp batteries. After reading some of the battery threads I have learned the Imrens aren't all they're cracked up to be, so I would like some recommendations for the best alternatives.

The LG hg2 or Samsung 30q should do you well. 3000 mAh and 20 amps cdr. Good up to about 120w in a dual-battery regulated mod.

Just be sure that you buy the batteries recommended here from a reputable dealer such as RTD Vapor, or RTD Electronics. There are a couple other reliable sources that folks here use also. I mention RTD, because that's where I buy from, and highly recommend them.

Get LG HD2C 25amp, 2100mAH 18650s at imrbatteries.com for $5.50 U.S. Dollars each. These apparently are more powerful and longer lasting than Sony VTC4s, the batteries we all USED to care about, however there's another good option I'd personally suggest over the LG HDC2. Most will tell you the HDC2 batteries are the best for average or casual cloud chasers and can pump handle a lot of wattage. I suggest LG HD4 batteries that are 25amp rated and also 2100mAH and $5.50 a pop. The HD4s were just released to the market two days ago, and since LG rates HD2Cs as 20amp continious and HD4s at 25amp continious, I bet the newer model is going to be either a bit more powerful at different points of it's charge cycle but doubt there any worse performers. Check around for the HD4 benchmark test results around the internet and decide. HB4s I save for my TFV8 Cloud Beast Subohm Tank at nearly 145W vaping a .15ohm Clapton Coil Core. HB6s are rated as pushing less power much sooner in the cycle than HB4s and the initial extreme powerhouse HB6 cell can be, the fact is overall HB4s are all reg. box mod users need for very serious coils and wattages. 1500mAH, however, 30amp continious without a doubt. I love mine still.

There's no way a TFV8 Cloud Beast, which says in the manual to use at least 25 amp batteries in your device, would be safe with ... 20amp old models of batteries. Why? LG HDC2s are good at 25a with 2200mAH or LG HD4s with 25a and 2100mAH. So buy those for $5.50 each. RTD Vapor and Liionwholesale suck. Imrbatteries.com is where you get EVERY LG 18650 currently available. Nobody mentions imrbatteries.com. I get all mine from that site always am happy with the choice to use that site.

Sure it is, if the batteries aren't pushed over 20 amps (which is close to 180w on a three-battery mod).

HD4's have been around for quite a while. I tested them in April.

The OP is vaping at around 40W to 60W on a 200W device. As long as he doesn't push it up in the high range it's OK to use a good 20A battery. Even those can usually be intermittently pulsed much higher. The battery should be rated at 20A Constant Discharge Rate. That's a torture test. We don't usually do maximums.

Mod manufacturers have to urge you to buy high amp batteries because they don't know if you are going to push the capabilities of their mod and try to reach 200W.

The OP said he vapes at 60W on .4 and .5 ohm coils. At 4.2v that's about 10.5A and 8.5A respectively.

I think you mean 20 amps.

On a regulated mod you calculate the amps from the set watts and remaining battery voltage.

66 (60w + 10% to account for device inefficiency) / 3.2v = 20.625 amps. In both series and parallel mods that can be divided with the number of batteries for amp draw per battery.

Assuming most people use dual battery vw/tc mods, I was. Why not take advantage of a 3 battery parallel powered 300W max vw/tc box mod called the Koopor Primus? I love it and don't like the weak hits and slow ramp up on the RX200S. I got 9 LG HB4 Butterscotch 1600mAH, 30amp greatly tested overall best 30amp battery from LG. I only trust LG, Sony, and Samsung. 9 LG HD4s being delivered as well as 9 more legit latest batch of Sony VTC4 2000mAH 23amp batteries for old times sake, and probably going to get 9 LG HD2C 22-25amp 2200mAH batteries and 9 pink LG HB6s tomorrow. TFV4 tank and tons of my fav coils, TFV8 tank on its way in the mail with packs of 3 V8-T6 coils which I'm almost sure I'll like most, and didn't know how serious things were getting on the 8th. I thought there'd be a flat 8% tax or something on all related vapor stuff. There may not be anything one day soon and a 85% tax on a 60 dollar box mod isn't affordable. I'm gonna buy a few more and get all my favorite bulk e-liquid ordered in the morning. I have just ordered the best model XTAR VC4 charger but might get the Nitecore D4 as well now as a backup. Luckily with costly 2 day shipping and a healthy budget this month I can afford to stock up by ordering all I need for the forseeable future by the afternoon all will be ordered. Though I'm concerned with mods crapping out and coils. They're expensive and I don't want to make my own. I guess I'll spend 2 grand on coils tomorrow LMAO. and hopefully buying the materials, I'll learn from a pro or friend how to make my own. But I want premade TFV8 Turbo coils which cost 13 dollars for 3 of my V8-T6 coils. I was told by a friend not to bother buying more of the included coils that come with the tank and use the sextuplets after the others prove to be less satisfying by my buddy with similar taste in vaping. I love vaping. Now I definitely recommend the Koopor PRimus and use of 3 LG HD2C or HD4 25 amp cells in parallel for about 6300-6500mAH total. Even 5000mAH total from 3 HB4s in parallel is more than enough life for me. I have extras and chargers so whatever. I get OCD about amperage and HB4s have been lasting longer than I thought a 1600mAH battery charge would last. They are overall better for me I decided than HB6s but I'll be ordering them anyway. LOL Get the PRimus, it has no issues and firmware updates are available and easy to install using Windows and so far I haven't heard of this particular mod bricking from updates so def get it.

Oh. I just began seeing them. Should I have been better off getting HD2C batteries instead? I love my LG HB4 butterscotch batteries but wanted more mAH. Guess I made the wrong purchase?

    Not at all.
The HD2C's are slightly better than the HD4's but they're all great batteries.

Thanks. I think I'll get 3 pink HB6s because they all will run parallel in my Koopor Primus so I'll get about 6300mAH give or take total mAH. My charger stops charge at 4.2 volts so it's safe. I have the Xtar VC4 that's the more recent released model. It's not as awesome as the VC2 Plus Master edition but I don't need to discharge and recharge to have precisely 4.2v. I'll just deal with it. I'm only on my 5th cycle with the HB4s which are all I have at the moment besides old VTC4s

New Sony VTC4s from the latest production batch are on their way for lower wattage TFV4 subohm tank coils at 90W which I enjoy often. The TF-S6 is a .4ohm coil but it makes more clouds though at the cost of eliquid than all others. TF-T3s aren't powerful enough for me, TF-Q4s are too warm sometimes, and These are nice and mild for a change of pace. I use the Arctic V2 or whatever it's called. I think that's great capacity and coil options for high wattage vaping.

The Primus is a series mod, not a parallel. However, in terms of battery runtime, parallel and series on a regulated mod are pretty much the same.
