I have some Flavor Apprentice Butter Scotch flavoring. I spell it as 2 words because that's how they have it on the label. The smell of the flavoring does indeed smell like a mild butterscotch however when mixing it into pg/vg all I can really taste is butter. I have added some caramel but I'm no where close to tasting a Brach's Butterscotch disc. Can I achieve the candy flavor I'm after with this brand of butterscotch and if so I would greatly appreciate a recipe. Also is this one of those flavors that needs to steep for a while before it all comes together?

Thanks

Thanks for the info MissAmerican

I was actually on the Flavor West site last night and saw 2 reviews saying the same thing. I hate to order just 1 item from them, any other flavors from Flavor West that you believe to be accurate?

Thanks

FW Root Beer is my current favorite flavoring. If you enjoy butterscotch you may also like their cinnamon roll (bakery cinnamon, not hot candy cinnamon). Their mints are typically tasty and strong as well (I currently have spearmint and Extreme Ice).

I'm no expert and ymmv as always, but I've had no issues with my T3 with cinnamon roll. Mt Baker Vapor uses FW concentrates for their juice and cinnamon roll is not on their list of tank crackers. Hot cinnamons are usually the culprits.

Another one to try if you're wanting to put an order together: vanilla butternut. I actually mix it, butterscotch, and cinnamon roll rather frequently.

I have them as separate juices but when it comes time to fill my "bakery" tank, I will put any combination of the three in rather haphazardly :) I find they all stand on their own just fine (the vanilla butternut is the mildest of the 3), but they all play quite nicely together. Right now the tank is butterscotch and vanilla butternut.
