I just learned this week that I'll be forced to go to Italy in about a month or so . After being thrown to Miami (twice), Los Angeles, Texas, military bases where they had me sit in a partly dismantled jet fighter with a stupid test seat, now my relentless boss will force me to go to Italy. Well, my boss is being forced to do that and he will certainly hear about all the gelato I had to eat.

Enough joking around: I was hoping this would happen some time ago, but now it's coming up FAST! I'll be going to receive some training, so I will not have too much time to enjoy the visit, but I might insist on flying a day or 2 earlier to adjust to the time difference and learn better. :D

My questions are:

-How is vaping viewed in Italy? What are the laws to respect if any?

-Are there any vape shops north of Milan (will be staying in or near Gallarate to be more precise)?

-Has anyone taken a Provari or a larger mod through airport security for an international flight out of Italy and did that cause any delays?

-Any suggestions as to what food/drink I must not forget to try (gelato and REAL espresso are already on the list)

-Also open to suggestions on what to do / see / conquer... I mean visit between Gallarate and Milan or nearby. (I have no idea if we will have a car or not at this point)

Thanks in advance :)

No idea about vaping in Italy. I smoked when I spent a summer tooling around the Amalfi Coast back in the day- before e-cigarettes. While you are in Europe, however, I would highly recommend a stop in Prague, either before or after your stay in Italy. It is a short, inexpemsive flight from Milan and the greatest city on Earth, as far as I am concerned...

I unfortunately will not likely have time enough to go around, but that also depends on how long the training will take. It is typically a week and then I have to get back to the office as I already used up my vacations for this year :/ Had I know, I would have waited for the free plane ticket...

Everyone there smokes and I assume the same or similar rules apply like in Germany meaning you will be fine

find out what vaping means in Italian and google "vape" shop for the city you will be in or just order from in taste or the like

Brought so many mods on international flights to Europe never a problem. Only thing is, No matter how I place my kayfun even upside down it leaked like crazy in flight so if you use tanks might as well take them along empty and fill up when you arrive. I have a disposable or ego on me for airport use.

Everything that doesn't have a English menu. Nothing worse than overpaying for touristy crap food when you could have some awesome local family restaurant near by. Don't judge by the cover. Often times the small hidden old places have the best food. Just like you can get the same or better food for less outside of Paris than in the city.

Even if you have a car to your disposal all European cities have great public transportation systems and due to tourism I am sure there will be online tickets, maps, routes, etc available. For things to do or see I would just go with the natives. Take the train or bus walk the city, mingle, eat good food even if you have no idea what it is, and if you like history do some touristy stuff to at least see as much as possible. Italy is old with a long long history so there should be enough to see and enjoy.

FYI 99% sure there will be a shop or a bunch in Milan.

Enjoy your trip

Every time I fly between Croatia, and Tennessee, I just use cartomizers for the airport. Works like a charm.

Great points there. For sure I'll have to ask the locals, but I like to have one or two things planned ahead.
Shops in Milan? How do you know? LOL

I always empty my tanks before a flight, although I once found out that the decompression / compression cycle seems to steep e-juice inside a tank in record time! (if you don't mind the mess...)

The pope and the bishops are always swinging around those smokey things and the italians love them so I can't imagine they have a problem with e-cigs.

Coincidentally, my new stainless steel/glass nautilus tank kinda looks like one of those incense holders the Pope and Cardinals swing around. All I need is a chain lanyard and an e-juice that smells like incense :D
