UNless you have a sensitivity to either one its a matter of preference. Keep in mind VG is a lot thicker than PG, so a higher VG will give a thicker juice. That can be an important factor with some juice delivery systems.
PG enhances nicotine delivery which enhances throat hit. it also produces some vapor.
VG produces most of the vapor.
If you want great big clouds of vapor go higher VG.
I tend to vape PG/VG 80/20 or 70/30. I have some 50/50 and notice much more vapor from that.

kiwivap, do you notice a drop in flavor when you go to 50/50? I've been told that PG promotes better flavor than VG.

I can't say because I haven't tried the same juice at 80/20 and then 50/50. They have been different juices. But I can say that the 50/50 was smoother and the taste was ok. I just have a preference for the higher PG myself.

I used 80% PG in the beginning and then started slowly cutting my liquid down in nic mgs with VG from wal mart. I am now at 50% PG and the other day I tried using a 60% PG liquid all day for some extra TH. The next morning my throat felt like it had sand in it. PG is way harsh compared to VG. I think that's where the TH comes from with PG.

yeah, I saw an advantage in that it was more of what I prefer. I tried 80/20, but it was a little much for me. 50/50 was a lot more tolerable. However, now I'm using 25/75 or 20/80, but I have a couple of liquids that are 100% vg with 18mg or 24mg and the flavor seems to have a nice presence. I feel like it depends on the hardware that I'm using more that the ratio for flavor. For ex., I have a provari mini, a 2.4 ohm vivi nova and 100% vg and no matter what voltage I have it on it seems like the flavor is muted. Not so with the same equipment and 20/80. With an ego and stardust type clearo, taste seems ok. imo, you taste a little more of the flavor with a little pg mixed in...

I started around 80/20 and stuck with that for a while until I tried 50/50 and have pretty much fallen in love with that ratio. I think the taste is good, it seems to just wick the best over 80/20, and the vapor cloud with Kanger T3 is borderline monstrous.

Tried 100% VG but wasn't for me, seemed way to "light" to me.

Despite the consensus regarding the vapor production & throat hit potential of PG and VG, I vape anywhere between %80-20 to %20-80 depending on my flavor preference without problems on a 2 hole, low resistance 510 cartomizer, and my experience has a lot more to do with the juice brand&flavor; and does not reveal a straightforward correlation with the PG/VG ratio. Some juices give me a way more satisfactory throat hit than others with the same PG/VG ratio. Then again, I'm relatively new to advanced vaping and maybe lacking experience.

Ok, so my first juices where full PG. Since then I have switched to PG 80% / VG 20% mix. Does anyone see an advantage to going to a lower PG and higher VG mix? What have you tried? What do you like?

I simply don't like Propylene Glycol. It's dry on my throat. I get a perfectly good hit with Vegetable Glycerine. So i use Vegetable Glycerine all the time and nothing else. So long as the nicotine level and flavour together make a decent thoat hit then i don't need to use Propylene Glycol. Some flavours have enough texture to provide the sensation i'm looking for. For me it's not just about the Vegetable Glycerine.
