On a standard cartos, the inner ring is just there to help prevent juice running into your mouth. I leave mine out and use a drip tip on cartos. If you want to use it, just pop it in and put back on the end cap :)

Yes, I want to continue to use it...but I'm asking does this "inner ring" get pushed all the way back in allowing it to rest on top of the white stuff or do you just put it in and push down on it a little...and NOT allow it to touch anything else??

I don't think it matters if the inner ring touches the filler or not. Next time you open a brand new one, look to see where it's situated, so you'll know where it goes when you put it back into the cart or carto or whatever you're talking about.

I assume you're referring to cartos, if you're using 808s.

Carts are cartridges (when using a cart and atomizer).

Cartos are cartomizers that are a one-piece cartridge with a built-in atomizer.
