Problem with Smok baby beast t8 coils not working.

okay, i am new to vaping. I bought a flawless 26650 box mod. I coudnt find a 26650 battery, so currently using a 18650 battery to run the mod. The tank i have for the mod is smok baby beast. it came preinstalled with baby Q2 coil. but later i changed to baby T8 coils that came with the tank. For some reason i am not being able to use the tank with the T8 coils. it only works when i install the q2 coil. idk if it is the tanks fault or the mods or the battery.

Also are X-baby Q2 coils compatable with baby beast tank? and also are GT core coils by vaporesso compatable with baby beast?

Not sure where you are located, so can't really help you find the 26650 battery. As for your problems...I'm going to guess that it has more to do with using the 18650 battery in a device not designed to use that battery. I didn't find much information on the Flawless 26650, but what I did find didn't mention being able to use an 18650 or a battery adapter for that mod to use a smaller battery

I'm not sure if an 18650 battery will work in the Flawless mod. Usually, if a mod can use different sized batteries, a battery sleeve adaptor is included to accomodate the smaller size 18650 battery.

What 18650 battery are you specifically using? Not all 18650 batteries are created equal, and may have very different amp ratings. It would help us greatly if you could provide the brand and model number of the 18650 battery you are using.

What wattage setting are you using on the Flawless? Are you using power (wattage) or TC (temp control) mode?

The following coils can be used in the SMOK baby beast. Note that they all use kanthal wire. If you are trying to use your Flawless in temp control mode, SMOK coils will be incompatible. You must use wattage or power mode with SMOK coils.

The SMOK T8 coils should work in the Baby Beast tank. It's possible that you didn't install the coil properly, or its a dud. SMOK coils don't have a great reputation for quality control.

I have to ask. Why did you buy a 26650 mod if you didn't know where to buy a 26650 battery for it?

I mean, you wouldn't buy AAA batteries for your remote control if it requires AA batteries, right?

The LG HG2 should be good for up to 60 watts. It won't fire over 60 watts in a regulated mod. The T8 coils have a recommended power range of 60 - 80 watts, so your HG2 is probably underpowered for that coil.

The LG HG2 is a good quality cell, but what others are saying is your mod is designed for a 26650 sized battery. There is a significant size (width) difference between the 2. With an 18650, the battery is not going to be secure within the mod, therefore move around and possibly short. You want to avoid that. Source a 26650 cell or a device that can accept an 18650 battery.

We have to respect the limitations of these devices – using a cell that was not intended for your device is not respecting the design of said device. You are asking for trouble (sorry to say)

That sounds like a good plan, especially because of where you are located and the availability of the right batteries you can find/use.

The 26650 size batteries were never one of the more popular size batteries for using in mods. The 18650 batteries are much more common and usually easier to find even in locations like where you live.

You've got lots of good info above to make your choices better informed.

You might also consider using a tank which uses coils that are not so power hungry. Always research and consider the power requirements of the coils a tank uses before buying it.

Also, my above comment on the wrong sized battery was not specific to your Smok coil problem. Welcome to try this troubled coil with your new mod but no guarantee it will work. These coils are massed produced and sometimes a dud, or even a batch of dud’s slips pass quality control. If it still doesn’t work, discard and move on.

I'm not familiar with the laws in Saudi Arabia. Is vaping legal there? Can you buy vape stuff online? If you have vape shops there, can you have one of them order a pair of 26650 batteries?

Also the Vaporesso GT series coils will work in the Baby Beast and are way better than the SMOK coils.

if you cant find another way there is a holder / sleeve that you can put 18650s into to bulk them up to 26650 battery size
they are about a dollar for 2 from aliexpress

It is illegal to sell vapes in any shops, due to minors getting there hands on them. But you can still buy mods online and use it. And no it does not get confiscated at the gate.
However there is a new law being passed, it's illegal to smoke in public, be that ciggarates, vapes or hookah. Fine is 200sr. Smoking is limited to designated places.

I've searched every online stores, none has 26650 battery . It's almost nonexistent here. Idk why the dealer sold me this mod in the first place if they didnt have the battery. Anyways, got a good deal for vaporesso revenger X. So will buy that.

Vaporesso has a solid reputation. Did you get just the mod or the kit with the NRG tank?

One thing never clarified. Did the mod have a battery sleeve/adapter to fit the 18650? If it did it's perfectly safe to use that way. If it didn't I don't understsnd how you got it to turn on in the first place for use with the Q2 coil that apparently worked ok.

As far as getting past customs, batteries are used for lots of things not related to vaping.
As said above, Vaporesso has a great reputation so you should enjoy the Revenger.
