I don't own the device you have, but it sounds like its running a little hot, possibly because the wick is not fully saturated with juice. If you are running the standard atomizer that came with the kit it should be about right power wise. My advice is to suck on the atomizer without hitting the button a few times, this may help saturate the wick properly, then try again. It will probably settle down anyway of its own accord. It's fairly normal to get a little hissing and popping. Are you getting a decent amount of vapour out of it?

Hi

Yes getting enough vapour it just pops almost! And when I look, it looks like it's glowing a red/orange colour at the top of the tank. I'll try what you said and see how I get on. It's brand new so I shouldn't think the coil or anything should need changing.

It absolutely should not be glowing under normal operation.

If you can see it glowing red it is to hot... the coil needs to get hot enough to vaporize the juice but should not be glowing with a properly saturated wick.

I would, empty the tank, remove the atomizer and prime it using your dropper bottle, make sure that the wick material inside is properly soaked. then replace the atomizer and refill the tank. If this does not work then try a fresh atomizer, as you may have a duffer. I would do this over some paper towel as it may get a little messy. Wash your hands afterwards as well!

good luck!

Here's a pic - sorry took me a while to get the image small enough to upload on here. The red/orangey tone is at the top end of the tank - so the top of the picture.

Um, that is odd.
I hate to say this, but glowing isn't right.
If fills from the bottom, yes?

(oh, I'm getting a bad vibe....)

Did you *at any point* INVERT your e-cig so the liquid sloshed on down (up) to the top area of the coil.

(oh, this is not making me or you happy....)

There is a possibility the liquid never reached the top of the coil. When atomizers (coils) do this you might need to flip your e-cig upside down every now and again to sloosh around the juice.

(I'd have thought Innokin would have tested the speed of wicking...)

Purely thinking out loud, of course.

Top it up, invert it a while and give it another go. If it was leaking that badly you would have juice everywhere. I vape about 3 mls in a whole day. Once the wick is properly wet it will continue to draw liquid through it to the coil, kind of like an oil lamp. If all else fails try a different atomizer head. The kits usually have at least one spare with them. When you first start its kinda 2 steps forward one step back, but it soon becomes second nature. When its working right you will know!

Thanks will give this a go. I'm sure it's leaked. I have no idea why but I can feel liquid around where the tank connects to the bottom half. I do have a spare tank thing though so I'll switch if it doesn't sort. I've actually just taken the tank and have it facing down on a tissue to try and drain it out so that I can refill. I have no idea what I'm doing but it kind of seemed logical to me... if the liquid has gone down the middle, maybe I can drain it out? Knew I should have got my husband to set it up for me. I'm useless at anything even remotely technical but I was really careful not to let it drip down the middle when filling it!

It should have come with a picture card that shows how to get started.

It's ok if you got some liquid in the middle, it will vapor off in time but may spit in your mouth in the meantime.

Don't panic. It will all work out. We all have had our fits and dribbles.

There is an Innokin subforum here at ECF as well.

If that is the original coil, you may just have a dud, it happens. I got one of these for my wife and I must say it is a great unit. Empty the tank, replace coil, fill tank, wait 5 min, top tank off and see if that helps. The coil should make a "launching space shuttle noise" but not be spitting or red hot ( that B bad). If new coil did the trick, order a few more replacements.

Is this high VG (thick, or over 60%) ejuice? May not really work well in it, and wait even longer.

Also, wait at least 10 minutes this time. Or 5 minutes + the at least 20 I'd wait if they didn't even mention that. Turn it upside down and on its side some, since it's top coil. It just sucks to not know if it was your fault, so I prefer overkill. If the wick gets damaged, won't fix itself. I expect some part of the coil no longer has proper wicking, for whatever reason. When juice hits that spot, it pops.

Can't see the VG amount in it, doesn't seem to say on the label. I got it from onepoundliquid.com. I've replaced the coil with the spare that came with it and it now seems to be working fine. I'm hoping that I can still use the other one but who knows. It definitely didn't seem right compared with how it is now. Have to say I'm still preferring my diamond mist one though but having 2 is definitely a good thing for if the battery runs out. I find that the amount of vapour is so much more on the Endura which makes me cough still...

The "other" is not salvageable, however at less than £2 for a new coil it shouldn't be too painful.
Glad to hear you got it sorted...
