After draining and cleaning my atty's I primed one with a drop of glycerine.

Being that it's a lot thicker than normal PG juice, could this clog or damage my atomizer? It seems it would have to work a lot harder to burn through the glycerine.

Anyone have any bad experiences with glycerine as a primer?

I don't drip with viscous VG - ecopure is pretty thick but some others that have been cut with distilled water or alcohol.... Drew's lung juice has other stuff where it isn't thick... etc. etc. I'll drip a few drops. Otherwise I don't. No need to really with VG as you're going to get the vapor anyway.

One drop? that s nothing but remember VG needs a 10% of water or alcohol added in order to make vapor, PG makes vapor in pure state

liscab,

Where did you read that? Hadn't seen that before. I know people cut VG with water and alcohol for thinning. Never heard that it was necessary for vapor though.

When I made my first attempt at nic-free VG based liquid I did need to thin it, and this must be where he got that from. VG does not wick well in its pure form. In fact, the first drop I put into my cart before thinning just sat there as one big bead. :D

Having said that, I have dripped one drop of pure VG onto my atty before just for the vapor cloud goodness. Nothing else needed.

On my first purchase of VG and PG I thought that I was sent something different I emal the saler and they explain that VG by itself does not vapor It needs at less a 10% of aditional liquid

Yeah, this can't be right. My VG is 99.5% anhydrous - ie, less than .5% water - and it produces tons of vapor on its own. In fact, adding too much water is the best way to cut vapor production. Have you ever tried to vape a wet atty? :)

I can just tell that it did not work for me, pure VG if that was VG, not vapor in pure state,

Jersey Girl is right. There is no 100% glycerine VG, but I find it hard to believe that the .5% which is .005 part water is the only thing that makes it have vapor. You may have had something other than that. That said, I've had some VG based flavors that have different levels of vapor. Ecopure smokes most all of them, imo, but others are close.

For my mixes I use 70% Glycerin (CVS Brand) and 30% PG (gallon of it from Tractor Supply for $23). It makes TONS of vapor. I mix the above with my high nic juices to cut the nic down to where I want it. Most times I don't even have to add flavor - the flavor from the high nic juice is usually strong enough.

So at the end of the day I have juice that has all VG & PG. Nothing in there to kill vapor, save for the .5% Kent C mentions above.

Hey, does anyone know about how the possible health risks of PG v VG? I know at our house we try to avoid PG in various things, even though it is FDA approved. If VG is just as good for vapor production, do I need to even try PG? But if I can be convinced there are no long-term hazards....
And another thing... a little haiku for the vaping crowd:

Please don't drip and drive!
You'll bust an atty for sure
Use a cart instead.

Really enjoying the massive clouds from my JSv2!
