If you've got the burnt taste the coil is probably fried. I would suggest getting a different tank, and even upgrading to a better battery and tank (so that the one you have now is a back up for when things break or need recharged). I usually suggest the iStick 30 watt and Nautilus Mini for beginners. However iStick now has a 40 watt with temperature control for about the same price and you don't have to use the temp control (which requires special coils) so you might give it a look.

I googled the kit you have and then read the one star reviews... Amazon.co.uk:Customer Reviews: LiquiPal Cloud E Cigarette Starter Kit - New and Improved High-strength Batteries / Clearomisers With Vape Management Display - Electronic Cigarette Kit, E Shisha & Accessories - E Cig E liquid is NOT included

If you decide to "upgrade" you might find something here : (guessing you are UK or EU)

The gear you have is rebranded from another maker. Names like Kanger, Aspire, and Smok all have good quality gear, some expensive and some less expensive. I had a few of the Aspire ET-S tanks a few months back before I upgraded.
The Nautilus is on the Spinner 2 in the center and iStick 50 w on right.

Far left has about what you have now, the second one is an Aspire ET-S, Third is a SMOK micro coil bdc.

Thanks for getting back so quickly that's a great help. Would you recommend trying a Kanger coil in my e cig see if that helps? I will admit I didn't part with alot for the coils that I have and wondering if they can't cope with the battery voltage that is being produced there for burning out really quickly.

Thanks again really appreciate the advice

Every tank has a specific coil for it. It's quite possible that the tank you have is made by Kanger, but it could also be by another manufacturer. So you can't just swap out one brand for another (unless it is supposed to fit) Many of the rebranded items do use the Kanger coil, but I don't know about yours. If your tank is like the one in the far left of my pic, it isn't made for much use and is years old technology. The coil in the pic I looked at "appears" to be one of the many Kanger coils, but I doubt that is the issue. While it's possible you have a bad set of coils, the only option you have is to replace the coils with the recommended ones. (You can try a local vape shop to see what they have but you'll need to take a used coil with you to compare).

Most coils go bad when the juice isn't wicking into the coil, then when power is applied the cotton burns because it isn't wet. It can happen when you chain vape and don't give the coil time to wick, or when the juice you are using is high VG and the coil wicks slower.

From appearances the battery in the pic/link isn't abnormally strong, it's basic. Your starter gear is basic/decent but not in the "good or great" section. It is "great" if it keeps you from smoking, and I quit on very similar gear. The first time I went into a vape shop and showed the clerk what I was using (far left), she told me I would be throwing it away. I was a bit put off because I thought it was great and I really liked it. But she was right, as you can see by the different "upgrades" I went thru (and there's 4 more not shown in this pic).

From what I see you can replace the coil with the SPECIFIC coil for that tank, or upgrade to a better tank and coil which will work on that battery (from left blue aspire glass 2nd, and blue plastic 3rd, plastic not recommended because some juices will crack the tank like cinnamon, citrus, possibly menthol)

The battery voltage of your "ecig" isn't sufficient to prematurely burn out the coils. They were either poor coils to begin with, or user error fried them. Inadequate wicking may fry a coil or more likely burn the wick material within the coil. Once that burnt taste appears, the coil head is ruined forever.

People are very brand specific when it comes to recommending clearomizers, based on their own experiences. I don't personally like Kangers, others do. I prefer Aspire products like the Nautilus tanks. Most tanks should work on your ecig battery, but you'll most likely upgrade to a better battery in the near future.

Many thanks for the information I'm sorry new guy and all haha but I will definitely look into different tanks but as for the coils I have with my e cig would there be one that you would recommend for a temporary fix one that you might have thought was good when you where at my stage?

The only coils you can use are the EXACT ones like you have. It's possible they could be made by Kanger, and if so a local vape shop would be the place to go. If I were to go buy a cheap tank in a local store to fit that battery it would only cost me $3 to $5 here. The second one in my pic was about $10 in a shop, now $6 online I believe.

That depends upon the difficulty you'd go through to get to the coils and the expense risk of buying something that won't work in your tank. If you decide to buy them from a shop, be sure to bring the old coil with you. The sales staff may be able to tell which coil it is. From what I can recall when I worked in a vape shop, there were Kanger coils for the T3, T3S, Aerotank, Protank, Protank 2, and Protank 3 ... and they all looked pretty similar but were not intercompatible between tank models.

Hi Chris I'm new to vaping myself but I am using a NV (Nature Vape)coil which is rewickable with japanese cotton and will last you a long time as you just change the cotton when you change liquids its around £8 but well worth it and the liquids don't take as long to soak in to the coil so there should be no burnt taste . Check out the video's on line . Hope this helps
