So for all you Colada fans out there ... Do you use the PC flavoring or do you replicate the ingredients that would go into it?

Obviously just about all of know that it is Pineapple, Coconut (actually cream of coconut) and Rum that make it up so do you just buy the flavoring or go for the mix. I am rather new to DIY so I have never tried the Jamaican rum so i really don't know how authentic that is in taste. But trust me i do know what real Jamaican rum tastes like! :)

So i would need a real Pineapple flavor (not the Jolly Rancher candy flavor), a Coconutty flavor the Rum flavor and I was thinking a touch of cream something to add that creamy kinda after taste

I have had one PC ejuice that was spot on it tasted exactly like the drink aftertaste and all. Then I had a couple of others that were "meh". I would like in the end to just mix it up myself so I was hoping for some input.

I've tried 3 pina colada flavors and they are all way off. They make it Coconut plus pineapple when it should be pineapple and rum with some coconut creme. None of the 3 had even a hint of rum and none had the sour tartness of the pineapple.

I've made my own by adding pineapple and tart and Jamaican rum and a bit of koolada to existing PC flavors.
I have 3 coconuts but none seem to do it alone - takes at least two of the coconuts together. The PC flavors do seem to get a decent coconut.

The only jamaican rum I remember are Wrey and Nephew and Appleton which I doubt there are flavors for. But Pina Colada came from puerta rico so I suppose a puerto rican rum would be the thing - tho plain Bacardi works fine.

What Rum did you use in your mix? and who made the flavorings?

I thought TFA Pineapple was quite strong even at 5% stand alone, just sayin"...

At 8%, I think it would overpower everything else.

I'd start at 3% and work it up slowly if needed:2c:

I can barely detect in in a mix at 6%... LOL... but ^noted might want to start low since some can...

Only rum flavor i've tried is Jamaican rum (TFA) I use about 5-7%
I have Lorann, TFA and VZ pina colada - all too weak on Pina and lacking in rum
Also Loran, tfa and vz coconut - nones quite right alone the tfa is called coconut extra.
VZ pineapple is pretty good - needs some tart added. TFA is pretty strong - also too sweet - candy-ish.

Sorry about the couple days there ... work and life ugh!
I will definitely give the flavoring a shot just to see but I almost suspect a home mix may be better ... I will definitely give Visus' recommendation a shot to check it out.

TFA Pineapple works for me at 8% I didn't think it was too overpowering (this is where subjective tastes come into play) but definitely the 5% to 8% is the range for the pineapple. I just haven't played around with any creams at all but since there is definite creaminess going on with cocktail I figured it must be included in the mix somewhere.

I like coalyard's addition of the hint of lime in it

I have Inewera Coconut (and a Kayfun) in vape mail today woo hoo!
But it is definitely the Rum flavor that I am really wondering about since rum does have a naturally strong flavor to it. And I am a bit spoiled as we get all the very good rum here. :)

The lime in that quantity seems to mimic rum a bit. I do plan to fiddle with adding some creaminess to it eventually. And yes, contrary to popular belief, real rum doesn't have a bat on the label...
