Hello ECF. I have a OBS Cube X mod and I've noticed that the wattage drops down by itself from 20 watts to 12 watts when the battery is low. Is this normal?

Which battery are you using?
What topper are you using on the X-cube?
Has the issue begun recently or is the device new to you?
If the device is TC enabled: Are you using temperature control mode and a TC capable coil?

I've had this vape since last September. I'm using an AWT 18650 battery. the mod does not have temperature control. I've been noticing the decrease in performance for a while but just thought It needs recharging but I've just noticed the watt change.
if topper means tank, I'm using Vandy Vape berserker rda.
Are you charging the battery on an external charger? (recommended)
Do you have more than one 18650 battery? (recommended)
If the battery has spent it's life in the Xcube, do you regularly clean the internal battery contacts and the POS/NEG contacts on the battery? (recommended)
A Rebuildable Tank Atomizer and a Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer are different.
Have you checked the build in the Berserker?
Is the coil broken or out of shape?
Are the coil screws tight?
Is the coil dirty?
How often do you recoil and rewick?
Is the 510 thread wet or coated in residue?
Is the 510 socket on top of the X-cube clean and dry?
Has liquid- ejuice or other gotten into the X-cube body?

What coil resistance? Many mods will back off the power if they can't deliver what's dialed in, so with a weak / old / failing battery, that might be it. Try a newer battery, or a higher ohm coil.
