Novacaine taste/feeling ?

Only when I get the juice in my mouth. Are you tipping the tank when you vape? Sometimes I get a bit in my mouth when my Vivi Nova gets low and I tilt it too much.
No I never vape like straight out or up. Its not the juice in my mouth, lol its hard to explain but if you have ever got a novocaine shot while getting a tooth pulled, or even the little bottle you can get at cvs. Its the same smell and feeling as novocaine. I wonder if it has to do with spiced juices?

then it would explain why I got ill last week vaping a cherry flavor that had the same novocaine feeling and smell to it. The odd thing is, is that its not making me numb, its just the smell of novocaine in my mouth.
Odd, cause im worried now about ordering new flavors. I have a feeling it has to do with some type of spice thats used in the e liquids.
I had cherry and cinnamon roll. Ill have to go on the diy and see what they both include.

It may be those artificial flavor compounds playing tricks. I've heard some people say that clove flavor reminds them of novacaine.
I've never had the novacaine type feeling or experience necessarily, but almost every cherry juice I have tried (except for 2) have a very medicinal taste to me. I usually compare it to cough syrup type flavor, which I have heard some others say as well, but perhaps you are getting some of that medicinal flavor going on there too
Wanted to bump this and say I think I know what was wrong. I "think"....... that my taste buds are just super sensitive to cherry, cinnamon..... spices etc.
Gotta agree about the cherry vapes being a little bit reminiscent of the novicaine. Especially when I get the juice itself in my mouth. Makes my gums a bit twingey (if that's even a word).
Very interesting, maybe that's why I used to get sick when I smoked my gf's marb menthol

i have experienced the exact same sensation! only in one flavor - blackberry from freedomsmokeusa. the cause(only diff between this custom bottle and every other i have bought) it is straight, or at least 80% VG. it is thicker, coasts my tongue and throat and has minimal flavor. lots of vape, but mutes my mouth and leaves a terrible dull numb taste
wish I would have saved to bottle to see if there were %s on it.

I have no idea what is in the shots we get at the dentist, but the thought came to mind that pg is used as the base for children's medicine. Also the shots at the dentist are flavored so maybe it's the combination of both liquid and flavoring that is reminding you of dentists' novicaine shots? Maybe there's a member of the forum who can answer this question. Just a thought...
I felt something similar once but I was Vaping straight 36mg base just to see what it felt like. Massive throat hit until it becomes numb. By the way, it killed my taste buds for an entire day also.
