Hi and thanks for reading my post,

I am trying to switch from Marlboros to a Revelle Elite e-cig. When I try to use the e-cig I don't get what I guess people call a buzz.

Let me tell you how I am doing it and maybe that is the reason:
I cannot only pull from the e-cig -- I am opening my mouth a little to suck in air.
When I try to pull in only from the e-cig it is an extremely hard draw

Am I not getting the effect because of my method or a faulty cig?

Thanks again,
Will

Hi Will and welcome!

In my limited experience, if you are having that tough of a time pulling on your e-cig, especially if you are getting very little vapor you likely have a faulty unit.

I'm not familiar with the Revelle Elite but if you are getting decent vapor (similar to a cigarette) then I wonder if you need a higher mg of liquid... or cartridges.

I'd like to add that I personally don't experience a buzz, but never did unless I was nicotine deprived. However if you are using the thing successfully you should find it calming your cravings. If not, then again it's probably either the unit or the level of nicotine.

Hi Will,
I don't get a buzz feeling either, but vaping is satisfying my cravings. My first day was the hardest as far as feeling nicotine deprived-- at home I could vape all I wanted and this staved it off, but at work my time was limited and I had several nicotine fits (I smoked a couple of real cigs that day to help with it). By the second day I was fine even at work, and I only smoked two real cigs that day, and I didn't smoke them because I "needed" them, but more just because I wanted to. From my experience in just the first couple of days I am finding that it takes longer vape time (compared to real cigarette smoke time) to get a satisfactory amount of nicotine.
You don't mention what strength you are using. I am using 24mg, and I think I would have done better if I could have gotten the 36mg.

Hi, Will,

Welcome to ECF! A couple of weeks ago, I sat down with two 801 penstyles loaded with 36-mg smoke juice and hot-boxed them to see if it were possible to catch a buzz. It took about an hour, and I never did - I got a little dehydrated and then nauseated, instead.

I do miss the buzz of a cigarette nic-hit, especially when I haven't been able to vape in a while, but I don't miss the other thousand negative things about smoking.
