Lorann won't be submitting the required information for the FDA masterfile. That's the end for Bombies 'nana Cream. This means any e-liquid manufacturer that uses their flavourings can no longer legally sell it after the august 8 market freeze. Too bad, I really liked it.

They are saying they are not going to submit the data to the FDA, not that they are going out of business or discontinuing flavor lines.

In other words - nothing has changed. Buy the flavorings, just don't declare your "intention" to vape them.

If an e-liquid manufacturer wants to use LorAnn's flavouring in their liquid, they have to disclose every ingredient for the FDA Masterfile. Since LorAnn is not going to give them the ingredients, their flavourings can no longer be used for e-liquid.

The deadline to submit ingredient listing for Bombies is Aug 2017, so theoretically they should be ok til then. If they plan to stay in business until at least Aug 2018, they need to reformulate prior to Aug 8 of this year, using flavors from providers who have committed to the flavor masterfile regime, Cappella and FA for example. I know of one vendor who is busy reformulating now, and i am sure there are many more.

This is the problem of a manufacturer of a liquid "intended" to be vaped -they will get stuck having to test ingredients themselves as part of the PMTA should a specific ingredient not already be proven safe for vaping - which, to satisfy the FDA, is pretty much all ingredients. It is not Lorann's problem. News flash: Lorann's has been in business a lot longer than vaping has been round. We never were their primary customer.
