I'm eyeballing that liter of 250mg at RTSvapes. Needless to say most of it will not be used for years to come so I'm trying to figure out which base to get and how to seal it. I'm thinking glass containers in the freezer. I want to think PG would have a better shelf life but if it's sealed and frozen anyways does it even even matter?

Also I mix my liquids at 70vg/30pg and am thinking PG nic would mix into my liquids a little easier. Not much experience with this so I'd really appreciate any knowledge you guys can share.

I purchased pg based nic for storage as all I have read says it has more longevity. But...there are several that would say vg would be the way to go. Make sure you get amber or blue glass to freeze your liquid as we'll as poly caps for said bottles. I ordered my bottles from premium vials as I found they had the one of the lowest prices i was able to find IMO. When storing your nic...heat, light, and air are you enemies. I store mine in 60ml amber bottles filled with the least amount of air left in the bottle, capped with poly caps, wrapped in foil and placed back in the box my bottles were shipped in and placed in a deep freezer. As I need nic I can remove one of the bottles from the freezer and let it reach room temp before opening to prevent condensation. You don't want to store your nic in bigger bottles that you will constantly have to freeze and thaw as it's not good for the nic. Also you never want to store your nic in plastic as its not good for the nic and it will degrade the nic over time. Do a lot of reading on this forum. There is a plethora of great information and helpful members so don't hesitate to ask away. I hope this helps.

First off be careful with 250mg NIC and be absolutely sure you understand the risks, Know that extreme caution is needed when handling this high a concentration and that you know how to properly mix it down to your vaping strength. I am a seasoned mixer and know the risks and am completely comfortable with 100mg. But 250mg would give me pause and It would require me to use every resource of caution available to me to properly handle this material. If your unsure go with a lower strength.

As far as which to use some say PG some say VG. I use both and store both types of NIC in the freezer. I've had them in the freezer for over 2 years and there as fresh as the day I bought them. Some say VG develops a fish smell after some time. I have not noticed this. This may be true if VG is stored at room temperature but I would not know this as I store my plain (Non-nic) VG and PG in the refrigerator. I've had them refrigerated as long as 18 months and there still fresh tasting and no funny odors.

Also the rule I follow as a far as what to get my Nic in is, if I vape a VG dominent mixture I get my NIC in VG and if it's a PG dominent vape then I get PG. This may not be a factor in your 60/40 or 40/60 mixes but it becomes a factor in your greater then 80% mixes. This can also be a factor when using high concentrations of PG based flavoring.

As far as bottling for freezing, I bottle in sizes that last me 3 months. I use 120ml brown boston round glass (Lasts me 3 months) and fill these bottles to the top leaving maybe a 1/4" air space in the neck of the bottle. This assures that what you keep out and in use on a daily basis is always fresh and the rest is fast asleep in the freezer. This prevents the constant thawing and refreezing that would happen using big bottles. Don't get me wrong you can freeze in large bottles. I have 10 120ml bottles ea for VG and PG NIC (I use both). so when those are empty I then will break out a frozen 1 ltr bottle and rebottle it into the 10 empty 120ml bottles. In your case with 250mg NIC you may want to go even smaller like 60ml bottles.

As far as VG viscosity. It's just as easy to mix in VG even if it is a thicker liquid. Just make your base add your flavors and warm it up to 120 - 150 degree F. This will thin it to the consistancy of water give it a good shake and your good to go. Heat also steeps your juice far faster then natural steeping. 1 hour of sitting your bottled mix in 150F water equals 1 week of natural steeping just shake well after each hour. A crock pot or slow cooker works very well for this.

Neither of them really "freeze", they just get thicker -- which can have a real impact on VG.

Since you like a high-VG mix though, if you use PG nic, you might find it difficult to reach the 70% VG you want, depending on how much flavor you use. There *are* some flavors in VG, but not many; the vast majority are PG. I always use at least 20% flavoring, and very often closer to 30% or more, so you can see how that would be a problem if you wanted the mix to end up 70% VG and were also using PG nicotine.

Dark glass is best for extended storage; light and air are the main culprits for nicotine degradation. Wiz Labs has those conical-insert caps for their bottles, which I think helps prevent oxidation. I use plain caps for mine, and save the conical-caps for actual ejuice, since it's sitting right out on the counter, and mixed ejuice degrades much faster than freezer-stored nicotine.

I believe in terms of storage it is the same - VG or PG. I ordered my first butch for freezer in VG. But with time I got annoyed of its high viscosity and my second butch I got in PG. But I (as most of us) have 100 mg nicotine, not 250. I think 250 is considerably more dangerous, it is 25% nic, and 100% nic considered as very hazardous chemical. If you order it, you'd better handle it on open air, backyard (I do not think you have a fume hood).
I have to admit I have no problems with handling small butches of 100 mg at my desk.

I put the 8ml glass flavoring bottles from Wizard in a tackle-tray to prevent spilling, and use a syringe to transfer. Fill up just as far as they will fill. put the lids on, and put them in the freezer. I vape at 3mg, so this is convenient for me. I store them in a zip-lock. I only order in 120 ml bottles, for lack of money to buy it in liters. I have 26 empties right now, and one partially empty. I do the work outside.
