Hey guys,
I'm looking to pick up a new RTA. Right now I've got a Tobeco Squape R, and Tobeco kayfun 4. I love the Squape more than the kayfun. Easier builds, and less hassle with parts and leaking. Plus my Squape can handle higher VG juices better with fewer dry hits.

That said, I'm interested it getting a Taifun GT2, but I'm not sure about which brand makes a great clone. I've seen hcigar and Infinite, both of which I trust to make decent products. But I've also seen some brands that I've never heard of before.

What is your input on who to trust for quality? Any horror stories about the ones you've tried?

A 3.5 would fit fine, of course if you build with bigger then 26g, then you may have to go a little smaller, plenty of room, I wouldn't build it smaller then 2.5 personally. Also pictured is the easiest/best wicking method I've used to date. I use the same method on Hurricane, Tilemahos, KS, Penelope V4, and anything with similar wicking arrangement.

Leave the tails long, tuck them back in the chamber so they reach the bottom, .... the shoulders up against the juice channels, but not into them. Perfect wicking, no leaks, no dry hits, can sit for weeks without dumping a drop.

Mine is fine with TC, just have to make sure its clean & tight.

Also, define "many" I've seen it mentioned a couple times, you, and Hooligan to be precise. Not saying it has not happened, but I've only seen problems mentioned a few times in multiple forums. These were sold by the thousands, so a handful of issues would be pretty good odds.

Mine was exceptionally clean when I got it, I gave a good wash with hot water and dish soap that was all. Be aware if you do take it apart, make sure put it back together the same way. I did see reports of issues with an insulator which was reversed and led to problems until reinstalled the correct way.

Wouldn't worry about cleaning to much more then that unless yours has issues of machine oil, but I believe Hotcig goes through some cleaning process with the products. The fasttech forums have quite a few discussions on the atty.

Thanks cc. Typically, I use 28g in my RTA's. Mostly because I like that 1.3ohm range that 6 wraps gives. And my Squape really doesn't have room for much more than 6-8 wraps. I also love that idea on wicking.

That's how I thought it should be done until I watched 4 or 5 youtube vids that said to leave wick hanging out. I'll give it a try whenever my tank arrives.

I used to build it with wick through the holes, it led me to shelf the original Taifun GT. I tried many builds that way, some worked pretty well, some not so much. They all worked OK, but most gave issues, even when I seemingly nailed it I would have issues with tank dumps if they sat for a few days.

When the GTII came out, I figured I would try again, same thing, worked great, but random tank dumps, shelved again. Finally tried this method, I've not had an issue again. Even when it sits for weeks.

I got the authentic andI use the 3,2 adjustable wick hole chamber. i love mine. Ive never gotten a dry hit (80/20 and max vg), and chain the sh*t out of it. ive never gotten a single drop of leak either. right now i have a 3mm 24g 7/8 wraps on it at .5. About the only problem im having is the draw being too tight. im deciding whether or not to drill out the airholes outside to make it a cyclops airhole. But then again, im limited to the airhole in the chamber at 3mm which to my eye is not drillable because there is just no room. unless anyone else have an idea for me.
