Hi guys, and Happy Holidays to all!

As a smoker of some 20 odd years, I decided a while back that I would try vaping, just to see if I could adjust. Bought a couple of cheaper e-cigs. Namely the Vype and the Blu. The Vype fell apart after a few weeks of use and the Blu still works well but felt wanting more after each use and moved back onto roll ups.

Ive just invested in a Coolfire IV which came bundled with an i Sub G and its great. Set it at 15w and 3v and its much closer in terms of feel to the real thing. I alway use mint flavoured liquid and the hit I get is very satisfying. There is a very loud pop when using after a period of time though.

I consider myself very much the newbie and will scour these forums looking for new information.

Thanks for having me!

Marc.

Welcome @MarcM1979

You should get on very well with the Coolfire 4, that's a proper e-cig. 15w, 8w, 50w - it doesn't really matter.

Now... should I have a rant about Blu and Vype? or have you worked out the 'real deal' with these tobacco company products. It sounds like you have, which is great! :)

Oh, go on, i'll have a quick rant anyway...

Please, please tell everyone you know about Blu. Blu are supporting the 2016 law which could well see all refillable e-cig products made illegal in the UK. They don't want to be selling refillable e-cigs that cost £10 a week to run. They want to be selling products which cost £5 a day to run.

As for Vype... well, it's laughably pathetic. A sealed system that vapes at 3 or 4 watts is less impressive than an E-Lites from a supermarket.

Blu are the biggest enemy of vaping right now. (yes... it's true)
Vype are just after as much money as they can get - (more profit than selling fags) and
Vivid... yup, they are just as bad.

At least E-Lites (now owned by tobacco) was a genuine e-cig product, even though the product was outdated 5 years ago....

Good luck to you. Please spread the word. It really threatens the entire vaping future to have these brands running the show in the UK.
