Hello all. Retired military guy from East Texas. Started vaping about 4 years ago but actually quit analog cigarettes 23 years ago. My problem was I quit smoking when the kids were little but made the mistake of using snuff to satisfy the nicotine addiction which was an even bigger trap, so then I spent almost 20 years unsuccessfully trying to shake that monkey off my back until I discovered vaping. After that I managed to step down my nicotine level to the point that I was able to quit everything, including vaping. After some recent super stressful live events I found myself wanting to reach for the tobacco again after having been nic free for almost a year. I restrained myself as I knew vaping would be a safer alternative, so I went and grabbed a cheapo kit from the local liquor store to tide me over until I could get to the local vape shop and purchase proper equipment. Bought an Aspire CF Mod with a couple of batteries and charger and Atlantis tank. The sub ohm experience has been night and day compared to what I was using when I quit (Kanger Pro Tank and Vision Spinner), so now I'm not sure I'd want to quit even if I made it back down to zero nic, it is that much more enjoyable!

Anyway, in just that short year it seems like the market has exploded with new products and making informed decisions is a little more difficult, so I went ahead and signed up here to get advice and read others experiences with new gear.

Welcome to the forum. The gear you have sounds like you should be loving life. There are tons of options but I honestly like the opinions of the folks here and most are right on the money. If you're interested in other sub ohm tanks and options, the Subtank mini from Kanger is a good choice. I have the Subtank Plus which holds 7ml. I don't like having to refill constantly and pretty much use the same juice for months on end. The eGo One and Delta 2 are made by Joyetech and are solid competition for what we use. Too many others to list and again, welcome back.

Welcome Vapecoma! Thank you for your service!

I've been vaping for about 16 months (smoke-free for 15) and it's been wild watching how things have changed in this short amount of time. My staples were VV3/MVP2 and EVOD tanks for most of last year. Then I "grew-up" and started using ProTank2s. Last 8 months has been exponential in terms of my "vape maturity", but I could still handle "post-graduate studies" :D
