I recently purchased the Geek Vape B60 Aegis Boost 2 Pod Kit. It arrived a few days ago. Unfortunately, I'm experiencing some issues with it. Every time I take a hit, it burns my throat, and the liquid boils and spits uncontrollably. I've tried using both the 0.6 and 0.2 coils, but the problem persists. I'm using 70/30 Virginia Tobacco (12ms nicotine) juice from Black Note and have followed their instructions to use the 0.2 coil at 50 watts. I've tried using both smart mode and power mode and made sure to use the recommended wattage for the coil. I let the unit sit for an hour after filling the tank, but nothing seems to help.

I'm not sure whether I should just throw the kit away and start over or if there's a solution to this problem. I don't want to take a loss if I can avoid it. If I do decide to get rid of it, I'm wondering what I should replace it with. Should I try disposables instead? The controls on the Geek Vape are not intuitive, to say the least. I could master that if I can get the damned thing to work.

I used two Joytech eGO AIO (v1) successfully a few years ago, but I gave up when they started leaking.

I need to quit smoking!
Thank you!

These are symptoms of an over wet or under powered wick. I know very little about pods. And nothing about that specific device. In general though i would suspect the things you haven’t changed. Which is the juice, the battery, and you. If the juice is adulterated it may not vaporize right. If the mod is not delivering power to the coil correctly it could produce that, and if the mod is flooding it wont be able to fully vaporize the juice.

Thank you. Of the issues you mentioned, flooding makes the most sense. I dried out both coils overnight. I will let it sit until this evening and try again.

Hi and welcome,

What is the nicotine level of your juice? ((12mg/ml))

Presuming you are more of a MTL/cigarette style vaper vs a big inhale, DTL vaper: I would suggest the .6 coil at about 20 watts (adjust as needed) , mostly closed air flow.

ETA:
IMO, 6mg/ml freebase would be an upper limit with that device; have you tried the "salt" based version of the Virginia from blacknote?

Cheers

Thank you. I will probably give that a try. I want to salvage this thing.

Sorry you're having a bad experience, I've never tried a Pod System. However, I am a former 37yr smoker, vaper since 2008.

I can suggest a great alternative for (cigarette) MTL style, but the type of device, tank and coils will be different. I also use 70/30 12mg liquid.
All suggestions are welcome. I have been smoking for decades.
