I lost my 510 atomizer that I've been using for THREE STRAIGHT MONTHS. I wanted to see how long it lasted before it failed. So far, I haven't had a 510 atomizer go bad (not including the DOA ones).
All I did with the maintenance of it was for every two weeks:
- soak it in Pepsi Max for 30 min
- rinse then blow out excess liquid both directions
- let it sit upright on my PC fan to dry it out for 20 min
- use a USB passthough and burn it 'til the coil gets red for about 10 seconds
- let it cool for several seconds and drop hydrogen peroxide
- let it burn 'til the peroxide boils
- when it turns red put another drop of peroxide in
- repeat the last four steps about 3 times
- repeat the first three steps with the Pepsi bath
I didn't go through the trouble of blowing it out daily or letting it drain upright over a napkin every night.
I feel like the kid that asked the owl about how many licks it takes to get to the center of the tootsie roll pop... We may never know. Oh well.. time to track another atomizer.
