Hi everyone,

I just recently bought my first vape which is the tesla nano 120w. My problem is when it got 40% of the battery it says battery low. Is it normal that my battery doesn't drain up to 0%? Sorry for the newbie question. I hope you can help me. Thank you! I can provide vids if you want.

You don't really want your battery to get to 0% if you can help it for the longevity of the batteries. Seems pretty normal to me. The board is doing what it's designed to do. It is just giving you a warning that it's getting low and depending on how you vape will deplete accordingly.

Hi and welcome.
How many watts are you trying to use?
Specifically, what batteries are you using?

Cheers

Is it normal too that it doesn't fire anymore when it is in 40% battery? Or does the wires or atomizers has to do with that? btw I have a medusa rdta and a free wire that i dont know what is called. But its a thick wire with 5 wraps. I think this is a clapton wire accdg to my research. And yes this is a married battery.

I'm not sure... I don't have that mod so hopefully someone who has one will come around and answer that for you, and welcome to the forums!

hmm.. What is the resistance of your build? Below .2Ω?
How old are the married pairs? Did you buy them new for paired use in the nano?

Cheers

it's sitting in .23Ω and the batteries are brand new. Actually i bought another pair of batts thinking it was a battery issue and no. It still do the same.

Most regulated mods will not allow your battery to drain below being able to push out 2.5 volts, because once your battery drains too low, the liion batteries become too dangerous to recharge.

So, if your batteries are needing to be recharged when they say 40%, then that is where those particular batteries have reached the minimum safe voltage. (It's the amount of volts your battery can push out that matters, not the level of charge they say is left in them)

Just recharge them when the mod says, and remember that those particular batteries cannot go below a 40% charge.

Please read article I have linked below:

Is it safe to use a charger's "recovery" feature to bring back an overdischarged battery? | E-Cigarette Forum

You will have better results with a better battery for your device.

Mooch is our resident battery expert, he is very popular all over the internet as he is an actual battery expert, (even liion wholesale uses his reviews) so when it comes to battery safety, please read his blog so that you will know what batteries are best and how to safely care for them.

Battery safety and using the correct batteries for your device is way too important a thing not to be properly informed of..

And your welcome for the help.. :)

I am fairly sure it will only read 'battery low' when the batteries cannot make the power for your atomizer.**
If you had a 1.0ohm atomizer and tried to use it a 12 watts, then you could probably get down to 10%, for example**. Either way, charge when it says so and do not over-discharge 18650s.

**What makes me say this is that I have put low(er) amp batteries in a mod, swapped the atomizer (for a lower resistance) and got 'low battery' when the batteries are 4.0v for example.

It's clever stuff. Trust it :)

Can you post a pic of the screen so we can see your settings?
I have one that I've been using, I took my batteries out at 40%. Didn't think to check for low battery indicator.
