I have been reading a lot and watching videos on making my own ejuice. I have the ejuicemeup calculator installed. I know the process on how to enter my dat if I find a recipe I like. The thing I am trying to understand fully is when I go to order my products, let's say from One Stop DIY Shop, it asked for "e-liquid Blend"? and only have a choice of 100% PG or 50%VG / 50%PG.

Then there is a section that asks "Strength" and only has 2 options of 48mg or 36mg. I see a lot of people will recommend 100mg/ml 100% VG. I do not see that as an option to buy at this site.

And of course if asks for my choice of "Dilution Base Liquid" and I can only choose PG or VG. So that has me confused as well. I thought I would order my 100mg strength nicotine in 100% VG.

Then I would order a bottle of PG and a bottle of VG.
Then I would order the flavors of my choice, and of course all the supplies needed to complete the mixing process in a safe manner.

I just don't under stand the ordering process from this site. What part am I not understanding? What is the difference between the e-liquid Blend and the Dilution Base?

I know there are several amazing DIY's in the ECF and that's why I come here to ask the family who has been there for me since my iclear16 days to my Copper Pegasus days. So thanks for being there from the start! All feedback is much appreciated.

I've ordered nicotine from One Stop DIY, Wizard Labs, and Vaper's Tek. When I ordered from One Stop, it was when I was first beginning back in 2011 and I didn't realize there were other choices.

This time, I read first and decided I wanted 100mg/ml nic. I ordered from Wizard Labs based on recommendations on this site.

Some people find this to be the case and some people don't, but the nic I received was rather "peppery". I didn't realize this was an issue until I kept reading and found that a lot of people preferred Vaper's Tek's nicotine (not all, but quite a few). I ordered that, and I'm very happy with it.

It's much more economical that way, it seems. What I now have will last me a couple of years.

I've also found OSDIY to be a bit on the expensive side, but that's the price you pay for the convenience of being able to get the necessities all in one place.

Do what you will with this information.

Also, when ordering flavors, watch out for what are known as "Custard Notes", which have been shown to be harmful if inhaled, and I'm quite upset that shops that gear themselves toward the vaping crowd sell these flavors. Order safe flavors from The Flavor Apprentice or FlavorArt. They'll say whether they have the custard notes on their respective sites.

I can't say what they're like now, for sure, but Flavor West has intentionally misled people about custard notes in the past, and I wouldn't trust them, personally.

thanks for the great info. I will def watch out for the "custard notes", especially with me being a big custard fan. I have decided to only order my flavors from TFA and CAP at the moment, but I have started seeing a few other flavor stores in the mix with them, such as LorAnn. What is your take on them?

I find peppery NIC from wizard labs goes good with tobacco mixes and inhances throat hit. But for deserts and fruits or candies the flavorless nic from vapers tek works well. You may want to get a small bottle from each source so you can determine which works for your taste. Both places are excellent sources for NIC.

thanks again for the amazing info as always ECF has guided me thru all my experiences. So now I am very confident in making my own e liquid. I am ready to order and let the mixing begin. So below I will post everything I have gathered and what I am going to buy and the process, so if you see an area that you would like to throw some tips or adjustments my way, it will greatly be appreciated as always.

My nic will be 100mg/ml with my carrier base 100% USP VG from Wizard Labs. https://wizardlabs.us/
I will also be purchasing my VG and PG from Wizard Labs.
My flavors will be purchased from CAP, TPA and FA. (I assume TFA is the same as TPA, huh???)Perfumers Apprentice - Professional Flavors
I will not buy any flavors that read "custard notes".
I will not buy any flavors that contain Diacetyl.
I will be using the ejuicemeup calculator which I received for free from...... eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator
I will only use 1 syringe for the nicotine.

Now as far as supplies I need to order, I know I will need some bottles to put the juice I make in, a few syringes, gloves and more bottles.

Thanks again for all the info and I am sure others will be able to use this info as well.

They - as always! - gave you fab advice. All I would add is get lots of small samples. It's less per ml to buy larger when you're sure which ones you like. And try the same flavors from different companies. No one co makes all my favorite flavors. I like some from every one I've tried.

And uh, welcome to the dark side!

in regards to the Vapers Tek NIC....I noticed the site says that the NIC is UK based. Does this NIC get shipped out of the UK, and if so, is it like a Fasttech waiting period?....lol

Nope. Kevin imports the Nic from the UK then puts it in a noble gas shield before opening it and diluting it down.

Tell him Hoosier sent ya' and he'll make sure the first time your nicotine encounters oxygen will be when you open the bottle.
