My Tribecca "clone"

Ok so I have tried EVERY "clone" recipe out there on this and other boards, and after trying all of them none seems to really be to where I cannot tell the difference, and some are just way out of the ball park in my opinion.

After trying out so many variations, and seeing what people are using here is where I am at.

Personally, I feel this needed a 3 week steep. And now I am happy as I can be with it. Tastes great in my Aspires and the Kayfuns.

I did it at 70PG 30VG, 6mg nic

Acetyl Pyrazine (TFA) 0.4%
RY4 Double (TFA) 10%
tobacco Blend (TFA) 1%
Cotton Candy (TFA) 1%

That is it.. That is what makes me happy, and if it is close to you then I am happy to have helped a little, if it is not then maybe my taste is just poor.

To me it is the tobacco blend that really makes this work, I got that from MyFreedomSmokes. I was hunting for tobacco absolute and could not find it so I grabbed this instead.

The AP I used was the Acetyl Pyrazine at 5% in Propylene Glycol that you get direct from TFA, I did not do any further dillutions. I just did .4% using it from the 4ml bottle I got from them.

The closest thus far is (wingman's - Steve) ry4 double and ta. However, I'll be whipping up yours tomorrow. Thank you for sharing. Seriously thank you. Many of the smells are right on, but flavor wise, it's just not there. Crossing fingers for this...not literally.

That is what boggles my mind. I did the Fogman26 clone, and the smell of it was like OMG he nailed it. Then nothing against him, but to me the flavor was off. But the smell was spot on so I got so confused by that.

I still have many where the smell is dead on, but taste wise, ug. Granted...they're much better than what I could do. I'm a copy-er, not an originator.

I made up the RY4 and AP recipe, and while it's not exactly Tribeca it's absolutely delicious! A little lighter than Tribeca, and less rich, but I find the flavor wonderful

I make a base of 8% RY4D with 1 drop of AP per 5ml (.4-.5%). To that I've been experimenting adding 1-3% of different Caramel and Vanilla/Cream. I still think the simple RY4D and AP is very close.

I have also tried a few of the Tribeca clones. I'm waiting for a flavor in the mail to try the Tribeca Clone 26. They are all close, but always seem to miss one little thing. I recently keep tasting the slightest alcoholic flavor in the original upon exhale, so I ordered some amaretto flavoring.

Anyone else get that hint of a liquor taste?

Very interesting. I'm not sure and will check next time. I'd love to hear the results with amaretto.

Not to hijack the thread, but I tried a mix with some Almond Amaretto and wanted to reply back.

Calling it "Triclone: I did a 70/30 PG/VG 30ml 12mg Nic because I had it in a bottle to be used, I didn't really do any percentages yet since I'm playing around with the mix. I did about 8% RY4D(which I think needs to be higher), I did 1 drop of amaretto(would be too strong if I did it any higher) and right now up to 3 drops of AP(1 drop per 10ml). Going to do a few 3ml testers throughout the week, but I think it's going somewhere and it is good.

Would love to hear about others trying the TFA Amaretto for a Tribeca Clone as I haven't heard of anyone doing it yet.

Halo is putting something else in their Tribeca that none of the recipes on the forum are touching on, and I.....................sadly do not know what is missing. All recipes posted here one ECF are close but just not there. Not saying they are bad, I copied one and tweaked a bit that will be my base and one I will definitely vape and halo Tribeca is all I will vape right now. I am picky and dont like many flavors out there. I must admit the one with Bavarian cream, YUK, glad the wife like everything or that would have gone down the drain! I think Graham cracker ruined for me too and was almost sure tht would have nailed it

What i feel is missing, Its that end flavor that you can get stuck in the back of your cheeks, if you know what I mean. Sweat but a tasty sweet. Like a nutty, buttered sweet carmel corn popcorn but minus 95 percent of that strength/flavor.

I probably dont make sense, not sure I understand myself but something sure is still missing. Anyone up for a mission Impossible recipe mission at Halo one of these nights?

I think most of us know where you're coming from with that final taste that Tribeca has on the end of the exhale. It's almost like we all know what it is but can't name it or find the ingredient. I thought alcoholic flavor or amaretto (some type of liquor) but that's not it I'm afraid. The mix I made with almond amaretto is a good alternate RY4D flavor IMO, gets away from the caramel/vanilla for a change. I also tried Tobacco Blend PG and ACL, I think the PG version fits more than the ACL, but I also thought one drop was more than enough in my mix before it became over powering. It might even be a candy note its hitting on there? It's so subtle, but I want to figure out.

2-3 weeks and its very smooth. This has become one of my ADV's.

I find this recipe to compliment bourbon extremely well. I REALLY dig this.

I know it's not a legit Tribecca clone, but I am VERY pleased with myself with this one LOL

I'm dripping from my first 60ml of your recipe. Have another identical setup with real Tribeca and I can't distinguish between them. Of course my taste buds are fried by 36 years of pipe smoking and chile pepper spiced food.

Presently I don't have Tribeca, just a pair of 30ml Halo Turkish Tob. I'll get some this week to compare (or bum a bit from a friend whovepes nothing else). At the moment, my taste and ofative memories shout "Tribeca!" but it's been a couple of weeks since my last tankful. Let you know... How many gallons did you say you want? ;-)
