So today I got my first e liquid order ever. I ordered from liberty flights and I got two of their tobacco flavors hotel and something else I don't remember. I'll post it once I get home and open the package. Anyway, I figured I would post up that I got my liquid 3 days after I ordered it with normal shipping.

Unfortunatly I can't try it out yet cause I didn't research the site very well and I ordered my e cig from Dino direct and it's being shipped from hong kong (not CA as they say).

I'll make sure to post my thoughts on my first e cig and the lf liquid asap.

Probably going to stick with USA companies from now on. But yeah, liberty flights has some fast shipping and some pretty good prices (I think)?

I just received my first order from liberty flights and I noticed all the ingredients in their e-liquid / unflavoroured/24mg.

Their site states "Liberty Flights are proud to offer some of the best e-liquid on the market. Our trails have led us to sourcing what we believe is the highest quality juice; the flavor and purity of which, is excellent."

However, when I received it this is what it states on the bottle:

Ingredients: propylene glycol (75%) 3-methylcyclopentane-12-dione (2.5%)1-malic acid(3%) 2,3,5,6-tetramethylprazine(1.5%)2,3,5-trimethylpyrazine(0.3%)betadamescenone(0.2%)acetylpyrazine(0.2%)2-acetylpyradine ethanol(10%)rhodinol(0.3%)vanillin(2.5%)ethyl acetate (0.5) ethyl maltrol(1%)2-mthyl-butyric acid(0.5%

Now I certainly don't know chemistry, but isn't some of this stuff really bad for us to be inhaling?

When I got my order from DIYFlavorshack, the only ingredients were distilled water, nicotine & pg.

Which leads to my next question: do the vendors actually know all the ingredients in the supplies they order? and if so, which vendors have the purest ingredients with the least amount of harmful things?

I'd really appreciate some feedback on the ingredients and what the safety is on inhaling them, if anyone knows. I wanted to switch from analogs to e-cigs to get away from all the bad stuff....

And I sincerely apologize in advance. I don't want to try and take over the thread, but I can't start my own thread  and I'm concerned about using the e-liquid I received from Liberty Flights.

That said, I placed a large order (with LF in San Diego) of different small flavors and blends, shipping was fast. 1 item was left out, but when I called they were quick to drop the item in the mail. So they have wonderful customer service and their flavors smell great. (haven't tried anything except the plain apple flavoring so far).

I'm no chemist either, but I wouldn't be too concerned. I believe all of those chemicals are what could also legitimately be called "artificial flavors" (according to the FDA) - so they are being more straight up with you then Coca-Cola or any other manufacturer who substitutes all of those scary chemical sounding names for the ubiquitous and MUCH less scary sounding "artificial flavors" ingredient.

P.S. (edit) Cigarettes contain MANY more "artificial flavors" than that. They have to, in order to cover up the nasty tastes that come from burning leaves.

You are probably correct. I'm just paranoid

Sorry to dredge this up, but I was intersted too and started Googling what was in my e-Liquid and one of the results was this thread! I like the fact that Liberty Flights puts the ingredients on the bottle, but it's concerning to be inhaling chemicals with such complex names!

Anyway, I started Googling these chemicals and found out this:

3-methylcyclopentane-12-dione (2.5%) - "flavoring agents for foods, beverages, tobaccos, confections and blending perfumes", the preferred substitute for the flavor of maple in synthetic maple syrup."

1-malic acid(3%) - "an organic dicarboxylic acid found in wines, sour apples, and other fruits."

2,3,5,6-tetramethylpyrazine(1.5%) "Flavoring Agent", "originally isolated from the rhizome of Ligusticum walliichi, has been used routinely in China for the treatment of stroke and angina pectoris."

2,3,5-trimethylpyrazine(0.3%) - "cosmetic and flavor agents. Has nutty odor.", "respiratory irritant".

betadamescenone(0.2%) - " an impact odorant in red wines" "beta-Damascenone is a major contributor to the aroma of roses and is an important fragrance chemical used in perfumery."

acetyl pyrazine(0.2%) - "flavor and fragrance agents. Has popcorn odor characteristics."

2-acetylpyradine ethanol(10%) "Food grade flavouring"

rhodinol(0.3%) - " used in the creation and/or manufacturing of flavor and fragrance agents."

vanillin(2.5%) "Synthetic vanillin, instead of natural vanilla extract, is sometimes used as a flavoring agent in foods, beverages, and pharmaceuticals."

ethyl acetate (0.5) - "Ethyl acetate is primarily used as a solvent and diluent, being favored because of its low cost, low toxicity, and agreeable odor", "Coffee beans and tea leaves are decaffeinated with this solvent" "is present in confectionery, perfumes, and fruits"

ethyl maltrol(1%) - "an organic compound that is common flavourant in some confectionaries"

2-methyl-butyric acid(0.5%) - "Food grade flavouring".

All of these weird chemicals are food grade additives. They are also often all toxic at the right levels, and not usually inhaled on a regular basis. Make of that what you will, but I don't think any of them are carcinogenic or will do you any long term harm, at least I didn't find any information saying they will.
