Well, so I got it finally - both pieces to be exact (the V3 Flip and the Trident V2) and let me tell you something about the Trident V2 - it performs like a monster - the vapor, flavor, throat hit, air flow, etc. is good - but hot damn is it a pain in the ... to build on with 24G wire. The lowest I ever took it was .2 Ohms, and that was 5 wraps of wire and a hell of a lot of maneuvering just to get it seated right. The screws are a pain to work with, flat head that seem to not be cut deep enough, which allows for the screw driver to slip very easily. Not to mention, trying to get spare parts for it (screws and an o ring) is damn near impossible if NOT impossible. I do however like the slotted posts in it. As I said above, everything performance wise is spot on, but the build quality is crap IMHO. When I received it some of the threads beneath the top (the cap that keeps the air flow ring on) cap were chipped and coming off the device. The o ring was cracked and when I asked the place I bought it from if they had anymore in stock - unfortunately they are out. Or I would return it and get a replacement for it. If you own one and it showed up in excellent condition for you, then you're lucky. I probably should have bought a clone instead? :D At least it works I guess. Anyways here's the cool crazy low Ohm-age and the device I will be using it on from now on:

Pay your homage to the Ohm-age:

A match made in heaven - or hell?

Anyhow, for those of you thinking about getting one, again, they do work - and work well. But IF you're honestly thinking that they're easy to build, YOU'RE probably going to be in for a surprise. In my opinion and a humble one at that, I've build a quad coil set up on an IGO W6 that was a hell of a lot easier than building on the Trident V2. :2c: But for some, you may like the challenge and good luck to you. As far as getting your hands on one, good luck there too. As Grand Vapor doesn't appear to ship outside of the Philipines - and therefor you will HAVE to find a dealer (local or online) that has them - and will sell them, ship them, etc. to your residence. Other than that - have fun, vape on, and stay away from the TTC's (traditional tobacco cigarettes). Oh and make sure you give the FDA pure hell for trying to make it impossible or more expensive to vape.

I don't have the authentic, but I do have a clone. One thing I would advise Trident users, don't make the cotton cloud too big. The small chamber really gets cramped if you have too much cotton (restricts air flow so it's like sucking on a coffee stir to drink). But with the right amount of cotton, it's flavor and vapor heaven. I built mine with triple twisted 30 ga wire, dual coil, coming out to 0.5 ohms. I run mine on an Emit Vapor Shotgun, which has become my favorite mod. The thing hits like a shotgun!!

I thought I had this experience with my clone (V1). It created an amazing vape but the whole build just felt like a bad idea. The cap was very thin and I really don't like the posts. They were a good idea in theory, but it just doesn't play out. Mine is already not working because two out of the three tops wouldn't thread well at all and eventually decided to stop altogether. I only had the thing working for about 3 months. I figured this was a clone thing but what you describe is spot on. I'm seriously curious about the Patriot but now I don't know if I like the idea of ever buying a dripper again that doesn't have AFC.

I'd highly recommend the Patriot. I have several RDAs with AFC, which is a nice feature. But I honestly don't miss it with the Patriot.

Another guy here having fits with the shallow flathead grooves in the V2....on top of them being cut too shallow, I stripped mine from the screwdriver slipping out so many times....so now I have to use a pair of needlenose to tighten the cap screws down....PITA.....
