As you may or may not know, the UK and the West of Scotland got hit yesterday with gales - in our case at 85mph, which ripped the capping off of our roof. The insurers have accepted a claim having checked all the facts out but now we have to find a roofer when half the county is in a similar state, so I'll be tied up for a bit.

I made my preps in advance - picnic cooker brought in, spare gas for same, fresh batteries in the lanterns, all computers , phones and vaping devices fully charged - there were more in the bedroom but here's my vape prep in the living room by my chair!

I'm enjoying a JD honey whiskey myself this evening. Cheers

I have some of that on hand too! It's a fave. Another on hand (and in glass tonight, actually), is Knob Creek Smoked Maple.

I have the taste buds of an eight-year old boy.

I saw someone review the Maple one with, "It's TERRIBLE! It tastes like I'm drinking pancake syrup!"

I tilted my head and thought, "Well, YEAH, silly. That's the best part!!!"

I add a drop or three of Makers Mark 46, sometimes, if I want to cut it a touch.

I'll look for that one. If any booze is too sweet for my taste I usually add a splash of a tart fruit (my go to is usually lime or orange but a nice pomegranate works as well). Sacrilegious to some I know, but I've never been known to give a **** what others think anyway.
