Got a nautilus mini and playing around with the different coils they make for it. Wondering what the maximum amount of watts this thing will handle. Currently have a vv battery that macs out at 4.8 v. I'm interested in getting the cool fire 2. I'm into guns and like the grenade look of it. Looks like a good conversation starter too. It's lowest setting is 7 watts and I think it's highest 12.5. The cool fire comes with a iclear 30b also any info on the quality of the piece is welcome too. Kinda put off by the plastic tank but if it works good I can overlook that. Any advice is welcome as I'm new vaping. Been going 2 weeks and 2 weeks cigarette free too so found my way off the cancer sticks! And the stink of those things! Thanks in advance to everyone here! You guys and gals are awesome!

A 1.6 ohm coil at 6 volts is pushing 22.5 watts Steam Engine | free vaping calculators In reality it depends on how the juice tastes, start at lower watts and go up until the vapor tastes bad then go down half a watt or so. The higher the wattage the faster the coil will ware out.

Exactly this. There's no right or wrong answer, it's all about what tastes best to you. If the vape is lacking flavor, turn it up. If it's too hot or tastes burnt, turn it down. You'll not do any harm messing around with the power settings.

The 30b has been around a good while now (about a year I think) and like most clearomizers, has a lot of fans and lots of detractors. Quality control of mass-produced little bits of metal and plastic is really hit and miss as usual.

You certainly don't see as many people raving about them since Aspire released the original Nautilus and Kanger released the Aerotank so I would say there are better clearos out there - you have one in the mini and you'll be able to use it on the cool fire.

I have the cool fire 2 I love it. with the nautilus I ran it at 12 watts no problem now I run with with at kayfun at 1.5 at 12 watts and love it. if I want to save on battery I drop it down. I do have my mech mods for when I want more but a cool fire should get you through the day with an extra battery. you would probably be better off with a box mod for spending just a little more.

One thing to be careful about juices. In plastic tanks a lot of juices can cloud and crack the plastics. With tanks that are made of metal or Pyrex you don't have that issue. Just giving you a heads up so you don't dump money into the wrong places. Do a little bit of reading about tank cracking juices, there's a lot more then you may think. I use Aspire products (Nautilus, Nautilus Mini, and the new Atlantis (on my high watt mod box)) and have no bad things to say about them. If you treat your hardware with love (cleaning them all the time) they will repay the favor.

I'm pretty sure the nautilus coils have ceramic in them. People correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I've read that in another post about people dry burning them when cleaning. I've been just running mine thru hot water for a few minutes then with a air compressor blow drying them. Everything about dry burning a coil just seems harsh on them in my opinion.
