Yup, Make sure the polarity is correct with the magnets. I've made that mistake before, almost impossible to get them out once you superglue them in. :vapor:

Hypothetically speaking (Hah.) if one DOES in fact need to remove one.. How would they go about doing so?

If you place the new magnets on the ones in the body and mark a small dot on the top, then make sure to glue the dot side down on the door, you will be golden. (Robs suggestion, not an original idea :))

As mentioned, make sure all the old glue is out and seat the new ones fully or else they will catch on the body. Really makes you appreciate the tolerances that Rob works has designed into the REO.

if one were to "hypothetically" glue one in wrong, freezing it and tapping it with a center punch should hypothetically pop it out, or shatter it (the magnet that is)

Hypothetically speaking I would probably let it soak in finger nail polish remover for a few hours then heat with my coil building torch and then lightly slap against a hard flat surface.

I sort of use Nerak's method. I put the magnet to the magnet on the body. (or door which ever one is intact) Instead of marking it with a sharpie I mark it with super glue and put the magnet hole over it and press it on. Magnet holds it in place until I cover it with door and I don't have to fiddle with picking it up by hand. Do make sure all previous glue is removed.

ETA This method might not work as well on single magnet doors.

Did you check the bottom of your battery for the other magnet, that's where I found mine :)

Haha same thing happened to me a few months back. I looked for that pesky magnet for almost an hour before I gave up. I got so frustrated that I'd have to buy and wait for a darn magnet.

When I went to switch batteries a few hours later, there it was.

3rd comment to check around the base of the spring. That's were both of my magnets were hiding. One mod magnet fell out of the door the other fell out of the body. Both found a home on the spring base. Rob commented both PM and on ECF there was a problem with using too little glue during assembly. In both my mods there was no residue in the holes. One dab of superglue after checking the poles and no problems since.
