► Lost Vape Ursa Baby 2; First Impressions:
Lost Vape launches the simplified and miniaturized version of Ursa Pocket Retrò Gamer Pod on the market; here is my previous Review The main theme of both devices is the surprising and playful one of old video games.
The form factor of this brand new minibox dimensionally resembles a small matchbox, which is why the device is incredibly light, small and extremely pocketable. The construction material is the not very noble rigid plastic, however the frame seems to be robust and perfectly capable of resisting accidental falls. The side panels are aesthetically identical on both sides and incorporate fake adjustment buttons together with the nice "retro game" design. For those who wish, Lost Vape has included an eye-catching lanyard in the package.

Lost Vape Ursa Baby 2 has very little aesthetic resemblance to the recent Ursa Nano 2; here is my previous Review The only factors in common between these two devices are the almost simultaneous date of launch on the market and the full compatibility of the disposable Ursa Pods.

I received the "Joy Black x Pixel Role" color version from Lost Vape for this test and I have to say that although there are other rather nice color versions, the one I got is my favorite, yes I'm lucky! From the side you can see the soft and rounded shapes of Ursa Baby 2, the surface is quite smooth and pleasant to the touch. On the first of the two sides, you can see the attachment for the lanyard, while on the opposite side you can see the air flow system which is made up of a small fixed hole and a sliding button that allows you to open or partialize the flow of air at will. I'm sure this control system will work well for MTL, how do I know? I think I know, because the cartridges and the adjustment appear identical to those of the Ursa Nano 2 which I liked very much.

The lower part of Ursa Baby 2 is shaped so as to be able to keep the Mod standing rather easily, on this part there is the Type-C charging port.

Ursa Baby 2 contains a 900mAh battery which for the majority of vaper's will last all day, the battery interfaces with a choreographic dynamic LED positioned on one of the two side panels, the LED shows the current level through 3 different colors battery charge as follows:
    • Red; residual charge equal to or less than 3.7V
    • Blue; residual charge between 3.7 and 3.9V
    • Green; residual charge over 3.9V
    * With the battery fully charged (4.2V) the LED indicator remains solid green.
*The device supports pass-through, you can vape while charging.

► Lost Vape Ursa Baby 2; Operation Guide:
The Ursa Baby 2 chipset works as a "Bypass" and is capable of delivering up to 22W of power. "Quest Chip" automatically detects the resistive value of the inserted cartridge. Activation is automatically deactivated in the event of malfunctions via the following safety protections:
    • Low-Battery: When the battery voltage is lower than 3.3V before use or lower than 3.0V during use, the LED indicator will flash 5 times red light and the output will automatically cut off.
    • Short-Circuit: In the event of a short circuit the LED will flash 3 times with a white light.
    • Open-circuit: When no atomizer is detected the indicator flashes 3 times.
    • Over 10s: The LED indicator will flash 8 times and output no power when vaping continuously for 10 seconds.

► Lost Vape Ursa baby 2; Threads:
The compartment/pod uses a system with two very effective magnets to securely hold the cartridge. On the bottom of the compartment/pod there are; the automatic puff activation mechanism and two spring-loaded and gold-plated pins for electrical transfer to the resistance.

► Lost Vape Ursa Baby 2; Disposable Pods:
The cartridge made of PCTG despite the dark color, offers a discreet visual control on the internal e-liquid level. The refill takes place laterally by lifting a silicone rubber. The filling hole is sufficiently large, however the lateral position for filling does not allow for total filling. I estimated that introducing more than 2ml of liquid is quite difficult. The cartridges report externally the value of the resistance found inside them. On the bottom of the cartridge there are two magnets that mirror those present on the Mod. According to Lost Vape, the Ursa Baby 2 cartridge uses a leak-proof system that has successfully passed countless tests.

The Ursa Nano 2 package contains two cartridges, one 0.6 and one 0.8Ω. In the image below you can see the entire Ursa Pod platform compatible with Ursa Baby 2.

► Lost Vape Ursa Baby 2; Vaping Test & Final Conclusions:
URSA Baby 2 Pod Kit is a pleasant surprise, with an attractive and unconventional design. The device is very simple to use as it does not have any buttons or controls, everything happens simply and automatically. The only adjustable feature of the URSA Baby 2 is an airflow control switch to adjust the intake system to your liking. I tested Ursa Nano 2 and Ursa Baby 2 with one of my favorite Pod Mod flavors (Colonel Custard) diluted at 10% with Boost concentration at 6mg/ml. The convincing performance of Ursa Nano 2 is faithfully replicated by Ursa Baby 2.
With the AFC system completely closed, therefore with air passage regulated solely by the fixed calibrated hole; both the 0.6Ω and 0.8Ω cartridges offer flawless but very similar MTL operation. The hit in the throat is present, the puff is fluid and without any irregularities in operation.
The flavor is superior to the average "disposable pod" with "disposable" type cartridges that are on the market. By opening the AFC system and letting more air pass, the 0.6Ω coil shows greater propensity towards RDL vaping, also producing greater Hit and vapor. It is clear that the 0.8Ω coil is more suitable for MTL. The 0.6Ω coil is my favorite! It performs well in MTL but also supports more open AFC adjustments enhancing its excellent aromatic qualities. I have estimated that the average life of these disposable pods is close to a total e-juice consumption of around 25/30ml.
An extremely positive note to take into consideration when purchasing Ursa Baby 2 is that Lost Vape's anti-leaking system works perfectly! Even after very long sections of use I did not detect any trace of condensation. Battery management is very good, only towards the end of the charge and with the red LED on you notice a slight and natural drop in power, the time taken for a complete charging cycle of the 900mAh battery is around 60 minutes.

► Lost Vape Ursa Baby 2; Highlights:

    ▪ Dazzling array of colors
    ▪ Tiny and attractive with a retro video game design
    ▪ Good aromatic production
    ▪ Safe in your pocket
