Good day everyone. I have a bottle of vegetable glycerin that I use some times to "thin out" eLiquids that are high in strength. Now that I have a Sub Ohm eCig I noticed that the 24mg juice I have been buying can really kick me in the booboo.

I saw the other day at one of the cigarette stores that way over charge for their eCigs that they carry Propylene Glycol.

My question is can I use this to add to my high strength ejuice, or is this propylene glycol not of high enough quality? Also is their propylene glycol that is of high USP Standards like the bottle of Glycerin I bought from Wallgreens or is propylene glycol not covered under USP standards?

Also I have heard of folks using small amounts of water when making larger batches of ejuice, is this true? Is water a common ingredient in eJuice?

I would like to use something else or with Vegetable Glycerin to thin out me eJuices. No wonder folks who Sub Ohm use lower amounts of Nicotine.

Thanks everybody.

Yep a decent deal there for someone not wanting a large amount of eliquid.
And if you add pg/vg to an existing ejuice it will dilute the flavor as well as the nic.
better if you like it to get some low or no nic same juice and mix it with the high nic juice.

Very good point considering your cutting from 24 to 3 or 6, I try to not get so caught up on all the "I need to have my flavors @ a screaming % just so I can taste them" and focus more so on better atomizers / coils. If you cut the usual juice manufactures recipe in half with pg/vg you would end up with around 12 % total flavoring, which for me is almost to much .............

I DIY all my juice and found my sweet spot at 7% or less so far. I have a blueberry I will go about 12% on but it is a no artificial ingredient natural flavoring and takes a bit more but is totally scrumptious.

Thanks for the replies. I'm adjusting to the sub ohm life and FINALLY had a Kanger Subox Nano delivered the other day; 42 days aftet order - Gearbest sat on the package for Six (6) days before sending it out. Guess I can't complain for $32.66! But still I live on the West Coast and they use Swedish post to send it. Just the whole ordeal of the eCig travelling the longest way to get delivered. Moving on...

I don't mind thinning out the flavor at all. There is this place that sells "Vabor Blends" 24mg 12ml for $3.99. With my old eGo twist and Aspire tank with a 1.6 Ohm Atomizer around 4.0-4.4 Volt using the improved BVC coils it works just fine.

Ramping up the Nano up to 20 tp 22 Watts the little bugger really blows me away. So if I want to use it Sub Ohm I have to use a thinned out juice. No wonder the Dripper's use lower Nicotine Levels. But it sure sucks up the juice very quickly at thr same time.

I haven't tried using the Nickel Temp Controlled yet.

Furthet since Kanger didn't make a Rebuildable for thr Nano like the did with the Mini and regular KBox Subox. I will soon be ordering the rebuildable atomizers that can be bought aftermarket on Fasttech, the five pack.

Also, Rip Trippers shows how easy it is to rebuild a horizontal coil with a used up Atomizer. So don't throw the spent atomizers away, rebuild them.

Again thank all of you for your help and input!

The Nano comes with horizontal coils? The mini comes with vertical coils. Which rebuilding would be difficult at best.

This new Nano comes with Vertical Coils too. Kanger is also making all of their New Atomizers Round now with a Vertical coil.

Rebuilding the Atomizer isn't that big of a deal. Just remove the old coilings and the material that surround the outter bit of the inner coil and build a mini coil per what Rip Tripper shows on his Youtube Channel. Further rebuilding the coils in a vertical fashion is very difficult. I wasn't clear on my reply above but the rebuild will be with a Horizontal Coil!

I have also seen where people have replaced the older Cotton that surrounds the inside of the Atomizer and it looks like a pain to do but it can be done with the proper tooling and jigs.

There are a ton of videos on Youtube that will help one figure out how to rebuild the disposable atomizers. But I imagine we have all seen these video's.

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
Tractor Supply should have USP PG for around $25/gallon.

You can also use a bit of distilled water to thin a high VG juice; that should be available in any supermarket for $1-$2 a gallon.

$25.00 huh , thats not bad at all actually . I just got a gallon of PG and VG delivered for $40.00 at "Bulk Apothecary " , i have no idea how to store this much for the long term though .

I have purchased PG from Walgreens twice since starting diy.
I asked at the pharmacy and they ordered it and had it the next day.
Not the cheapest way to buy it. I think is was $14 for 473mls.
But it was in my hands with no shipping charges in a day....

Bullcity sells 480mls. for 7.50.....plus shipping.

If you just want to try to thin some already on hand juices, and are not trying to diy from scratch this may be an option for you thats not really too expensive.

I would have to watch Rip? No thanks. I will just use the RBA deck. And keep a few blister pak coils in my emergency road kit.
