that also has SS316 mesh strips. Needless to say the rda should work well with a squonk and I have nothing against clones. My funds are limited so I can't just go off the deep end. If I have to I can probably find a Profile on sale eventually but I'd really like SS316 mesh strips so I can use temperature control when I'm in the mood. Plus it needs to be easy to build. Also I'm not in a huge hurry and don't mind waiting for the slow boat from China. I don't want much, just almost everything :D
I'd appreciate any help anyone can give me!

Thanks for the replies so far. One more question. What's the difference between 150mesh and 400mesh other than the numbers? Would I be better off buying mesh strips or a roll and cutting it to size? OK I know that was two questions but they seemed important .Thanks again!

About 250! Sorry…..couldn’t resist :D

The number should reflect the hole count per inch. How this relates to a perceived vape will be subjective. I actually prefer a less dense Kanthal mesh over the 200 count SS316 mesh that I also own. But Kanthal can’t be run in TC (as you know).

The VV rolls are fairly inexpressive and gives 2 options (I believe). Some have mesh sheets that they cut to size. I think like most there will be a bit of trial and error to find what you like. Just like a typical coil, there is no one size fits all.

Myfreedomsmokes has the Profile for sale $16 still I believe. As for SS just pick up a spool, I have the 200 I think. The difference is the number of holes per sq. Inch I think. I stopped trying to run mesh in TC mode. Power works great and with the fast ramp up I get a great flavorful cloud with a 1.5-2 second puff. Tc didn’t work great with the mesh and that’s what I use for standard coils that are SS. Might have better luck with a yihi or dna but since I don’t have that power works great and I’ve got no complaints.

I have 21 Mesh RDA's (9 Dovpo Mesh Pro's, 9 Wotofo Profiles and 3 Vandy Vape Mesh RDA's). Mesh RDA's are almost all I vape now days.

Everything @Punk In Drublic said is spot on.

My personal favorite is the DMP's, but the Profiles are a close second. The VVM's have next to no drip well so are the most problematic in use. The Profile is the one I would suggest anyone new to mesh start with. It is the easiest one to build 'correctly' with the very first build. They only come with KA1 strips (.18Ω), OFRF nexMesh strips available for them are also KA1 (0.12Ω). So for SS I use a roll of Vandy Vape SS mesh or SS sheet mesh cut to size for them.

***A note about the bottom fed atty's referred to from HalfAssedTech above... Like with their promised ship and/or delivery times, their product descriptions are often misleading or are in fact a bald faced lie. Just two of the reasons why I have done business with them only a few times over the past 6 years. The 'last time' (below) was the last time - I closed my FT account.

I'd be leary of either of those from FT listed above... they call them 'Dripping Atomizers'. One is a clone of a DMP, the other appears to be a clone of the VVM.

Case in point... I opened a ticket and contacted them about the $10.48 Mesh Pro Styled RDA listed above and specifically asked them if they came with a BF pin. They assured me that they did, twice. Well, they do not come with a BF pin... IT IS A DRIPPER ONLY. They also do not come with any spare parts like the authentic one does (other than a worthless small DT, nothing else at all). How do I know? I bought 3 of them when the supply of authentic Dovpo Mesh Pro RDA's dried up some months back. The $31 and change was not enough cost for me to bother with their return policy that could take forever as slow as they are with everything else.

So I'd be suspicious of any BF atty they list for sale actually being a BF atty.

with ft, you always do need to check out the reviews and discussions, or ask here in the FT threads before buying....
I've had a few issues with them over the years but they've always fixed it (better than I can say for other companies)
but yes their descriptions are not always very accurate (And sometimes just plain strange)

COOL! Hope you enjoy. Just keep in mind that the amount of cotton used is critical. You want enough to avoid any voids between the cotton and the mesh otherwise you will experience dry burns. Trust me, they are NASTY! Think it was Vaping with Vic who referred to it as vaping on Satan’s farts. No idea how he knows how Satan’s farts vape like, but will assume that is a fair analogy.

The Wotofo shoe lace cotton is the correct amount to mitigate those voids, but other cotton can be used. I found ¾ of a Muji pad to be good, and around 1.5 to 2 pieces of Rayon rope works well if you prefer Rayon.
