I have been mixing my own cigar tobacco flavored e-juice for awhile now, but I still think it is missing something.

I tried adding a small amount of caramel flavoring, but was not happy with the flavor of the added caramel (even in low percentages such as 2 and 3%)

Now I am thinking that a couple of percent of vanilla flavoring just might be the ticket.

Flavour Art has a "Vanilla Classic" ... TFA has a "Vanilla Swirl" (that has had the Custard Notes removed) ... Hangsen has a "Vanilla Flavor" ... and LorAnn also has a "Vanilla Flavor"

There are a few other companies making various Vanilla flavors, but they are usually "Vanilla Custard" or "Vanilla Cupcake", so I excluded mentioning them.

So, what brand Vanilla concentrate would you recommend adding to my DIY tobacco e-juice that don't have a fake vanilla chemical taste?

Thanks,

I have been doing a search here on the forum, and I keep reading good reviews about the "Holy Vanilla" flavoring that is sold by DIY Flavor Shack.

HOLY Vanilla Flavoring DIY

I don't know how strong this stuff is, but I'm thinking that if it was added at about 3% to the total tobacco e-liquid mix, that might be enough to add a very slight vanilla note to the juice without making it just taste and smell like straight vanilla flavored juice.

It would be interesting to know what manufacturer actually makes this flavoring that 'DIY Flavor Shack' rebottles and then sells.

Danny ... I never though to add chocolate flavoring to my cigar juice. I might try that starting out with just a little, and working up.

Come to think about it ... I read somewhere that the cigarette companies add chocolate flavoring to there cigarette tobacco blends.

It's very good I add it to my tobacco mixes all the time. The TFA chocolate is good for just a hint of chocolate the hangsen chocolate cream (ECX) is good for a stronger chocolate note. And the hangsen Peanut, caramel, chocolate (Only sold at RTS) is very good for a sweeter nutty chocolate taste but not over poweringly sweet. These need a good 3 - 4 week steep before the chocolate flavor comes out..

I found another vanilla flavoring that may work well just to 'accent' a DIY cigar flavored e-juice:

FlavourArt 'Vanilla Bourbon'
______________________________________

"Vanilla Bourbon is a richer, darker, bolder vanilla - the flavor of Madagascar vanilla extract.

This is NOT the flavor of bourbon alcohol.

Although it can be a little too prominent for light fruit flavors, 'Vanilla Bourbon' adds excellent gourmet vanilla flavor to just about anything else. It's more complex than FlavourArt 'Vanilla Classic' and more versatile than FlavourArt 'Vanilla Tahiti'.

'Vanilla Bourbon' is often the best choice in coffees, dark tobaccos, dark fruits, rich bakery flavors, and as a noticeable hint of vanilla in most complex recipes".

I use LA Butternut Vanilla, TFA Vanilla Bourbon and FA Vanilla Classic often and sometimes all of them in the same recipe. The Vanilla Classic is Madagascar but seems a bit more light vs Vanilla Bourbon which is stronger. But all these Vanilla flavors bring something different to the table. TFA Bourbon is very rich LA Butternut has a buttery taste and the FA Classic is soft and light on the alcohol. I actually have every TFA Vanilla flavor available and if I really want in your face vanilla I use Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. I think TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream is one of the best Vanilla flavors mainly due to the heavy custard notes.

Thanks for the review Crunk ...

You said you have used TFA Vanilla Bourbon.

I was talking about FlavourArt (FA) Vanilla Bourbon.

I didn't know TFA made a flavoring called 'Vanilla Bourbon'.

EDIT: Yup, I see that TFA does in fact have a Vanilla Bourbon .... I wonder which one is better ... TFA or FA Vanilla Bourbon?

Here is what "AlexTM" (an e-cig forum member) wrote in a thread about the 3 different FA vanillas:

Flavourart, the Italian flavour maker, has three different types of Vanilla, and they are quite different indeed:

My personal favourite is Vanilla Bourbon, which really and truly tastes like a vanilla bean. For flavouring, I use 5% of it. It also goes perfectly with several other flavours, my favourite is Vanilla Bourbon and Cream (fresh) (4%) at 1:1.

Then there is Vanilla Tahiti, very popular, I have to say, tastes like a great vanilla custard. It's a lot sweeter and creamier than the Vanilla Bourbon. About as creamy as the VB+Cream, but still sweeter. I use it at 3%.

And then there is Vanilla Classic, tastes like classic Vanilla-flavoured sugar. Not my favourite, but there are people out there who like it a lot. Also goes well with several other flavours, like Cherry. I use it at 2%

I WILL MAKE THIS REALLY REALLY SIMPLE FOR YOU! - You can trust this because you read it on the internet :)

Step 1. Go to Vanilla Custard by Capella Flavor Drops - ecigExpress
Step 2. Click on "Add To Cart".
Step 3. Change "Quantity" to 5,000,000,000.
Step 4. Check out and pay.

Then, ENJOY!!! >.<

Capella's Vanilla Custard is the best thing ever to hit the e-liquid market.

I put it in tobacco mixtures, I put it in fruity mixtures, I put it deep mixtures, I put it in my bathtub and bath in it, and sometimes when I am feeling frisky, I rub it all over my body and make my girlfriend lick it off of me... But a lot of the time that doesn't work because I lick it off myself before she can make it into the bedroom.

FA Vanilla Bourbon is better than TFA IMO.
The other FA Vanilla's are all great.
The best one for TFA is Vanilla Swirl so far, but I haven't tried the Vanilla Bean v1 or V2 yet.
TFA French Vanilla is just so so, but some Sweet Cream helps it along.
But I've heard DIYFS Holy Vanilla is the best, but can't confirm it yet, (hate to order a single flavor).

FA might be better but I often have a trouble getting certain FA flavors and the same goes for CAP. I need stuff I can easily get when I need it and is not always out of stock. Which is why I really like TFA since almost everyone stocks plenty of it. And because it's cheap and used by so many it's probably the most easy to acquire flavoring on the interweb.
