Lanyards, does anyone actually use them?

Often included in starter kits is a lanyard so you can wear your e-cig around your neck. Now personally, I think doing this makes ya look like a fool, but it may have some practical uses, like if you don't have pockets and your working on an assembly line or something where your hands are busy all the time. Also may be good for those of us who tend to misplace things.

However, I have never seen anyone actually wearing one? Does anyone here use em?

Just wondering, not trying to be offensive or anything, this is my opinion only.

I use one when doing field work. Anything in pants pockets is going to take a beating and I don't like putting them in those pockets anyway. If I put anything in my shirt pocket, which I actually do, it is bound to fall out so the lanyard keeps me from losing it or it falling to a hard or dirty surface.

I watched a girl who wouldn't let her ecig out of her hand while she was moving things around in her car and all I could think is, "Putting it down or using a lanyard would free up your hands," So I guess in my view, not using one in certain situations looks more ridiculous than the lanyard.

I use mine every time I leave the house. I put my lanyard on and then stick the ecig in my breast pocket. If it falls out of the pocket (women's shirts have tiny pockets, but that's another rant) it's still not gonna hit the ground.

Invaluable for mucking stalls and paddocks, you really don't want it hitting the ground in that situation

I do when I'm outside working. Too much bending over and what not to carry it in my pocket. I used to just lay it on the ground when I needed both of my hands...but we just rescued another Husky puppy that is in to EVERY THING. You sit something down, and its gone in a blink of the eye. So, its very helpful also to keep this one stubborn fur baby from getting it.

My husband bought one that is kind of like that for his Vamo. Its a black leather pouch type thing, that hangs around his neck. He never takes his Vamo out of it, except to change batteries. He leaves it in the car when getting out at the store tho. We've yet to see another Vapor where we live, so I'm sure he'd get plenty of funny looks if he was to wear it around in public.

If I'm away from my "settin' spot" at home, I have an eGo on a lanyard around my neck. I've broken a couple in trouser pockets, had a leak inside my pocket book (once was enough), and ladies' wear doesn't consistently include breast pockets. The lanyard works for me.

Did have a healthcare worker ask me recently if it was a dog whistle ...

You know, I wish there was a way I could get away with something other than pocketing my mod, but everything seems so ridiculous in everyday life(as a dude). First off, my place of employment isn't ok with vaping, and they consider "more than 4 nicotine events a year" as a smoker... So yea, not paying that quadruple insurance to vape openly with coworkers.

Someone, very well intentioned, recommended a maglite holster to carry a VV mod around, but I already can't stand when people have their phone in a belt holster... so that's not happening lol. Someone needs to device a camelbak sort of device so we can vape with the device hidden away!! You know, a little flexible tube you keep just inside the front of your shirt and vape on when no one's looking :2cool:
