Hey y'all. I got some 1043p Keystone battery holders for a mod I'm building. This is my first one, so I apologize if this question has been asked and answered. I stuck an AW 18650 battery into the holder to test, and found that the battery is about 1/8 of an inch too short to make contact. Is this a known issue? Any suggestions for a fix? Did I order the wrong damn battery holders?

Thanks!

Ok - on mine, because I ordered the 1043p, it doesn't have the bendable clips on both end. On one side its got a dimple to make contact. I'm re-ordering and going to get the non-polarized ones that have the spring clips on both ends. I can get the battery to make contact in the ones I've got, but the bend on the spring clip end is pretty extreme. Note to self. Order the non-polarized versions.

Update - I got a total of 4 battery holders. I used a small hammer and punch and tapped out the dimpled positive side on all four, and the spring clip on two of the holders. Then I re-assembled two of the battery holders with spring clips on both ends. Presto. Fits an AW 18650 and other relatively standard length 18650s perfectly. I have two holders that are useless now, but I really only needed two holders for my current project and bought the extra holders as spares as a just in case. :) Glad I did.
