Just purchased KFL+ and getting no air flow. Messing around with it (I know I shouldn't but cant resist). I noticed that the positive pin has no air hole through the side. Isn't this where the air is supposed to flow to the adjusting screw? It is made by Ehpro. Not sure if i should attempt drilling a side hole myself or not. Anybody else have this problem or is it just design?
Thanks

Nope. that hole, if you had it, would be for capturing your positive wire lead. Air comes in through the hole on the side of the base and then flows up the center pin/screw into the coil chamber. Your KFL+ should have an air flow adjustment screw, either on the side or bottom of the base. Adjusting that screw will require either a very small allen wrench or flat head screwdriver. Find it and back it out. If your are still getting no or very limited airflow then you've got an obstruction somewhere that hot water and a toothpick should remedy.

Crap. Just re-read yer post. If you're referring to the center pin/screw.....then yeah, it should have two holes that line up with the air intake. Find a drill bit that just barely slides through the air hole and go to town on that pin.

Unless, you have a KFL+ with a compound center screw, and your talking about the tiny 510 screw that actually makes contact with your mod. The larger pin that it screws into is the one that should have air holes on the sides. It is a completely hollow screw that holds your positive block in place.

Thats what i thought. Every video i can find that shows the center pin removed it has two holes on either side of the hollow positive pin. Must just be one missed step in production. Found a drill bit that fits perfectly through the air hole base and touches the center pin. Guess thats the way to go. Sucks i have to drill a brand new device. Not getting any reply from the seller. Was hoping they could pull one apart and see what i am seeing. Thanks for the help. Just wanted to confirm before i start to drill.

So you are using the air hole as a drill guide? Otherwise it sure would be a tough job trying to get things aligned with that relatively small screw. I'm just picturing me trying to do this with my hand drill.... NOT....:p

So you are using the air hole as a drill guide?

No Mr. Horton... I believe folkphys, by saying "Find a drill bit that just barely slides through the air hole and go to town on that pin.", is using the existing vertical hole diameter as a reference to an appropriately sized, or rather the "largest" appropriately sized drill bit that one might use for the lateral hole.
That size, or a bit smaller... as you'll actually have two holes, so the largest size possible is really not needed.

Worked like a charm. Used 1/32 bit. Fit perfect through the side of the base. First went slow just to score it and get a pilot hole started through the side air hole. Took it out and rolled it in paper (old machine shop trick for small items you don't want to put in a vise or bugger the threads. Easier to hold). Find the hole and go slow. Stainless tends to be soft so didn't need alot of pressure. Thew it back in and works like I would expect. Been building protank coils for 6 months. Having this makes it so much easier. What a difference. Thanks everyone for the advice. Wasn't to sure how the kayfun was designed. Think I know it inside and out now.
Hope nobody else has this problem.
Wonder if you can buy the center pin separately?
