Hello,
I recently bought my first ever vape, the kangertech subox mini c. It worked completely fine for a while but for some reason it's currently stuck on the charging animation. If i put the battery in the box, it loads up the kangertech sign and the starting the charging animation regardless of if it is plugged in or not. I'm not sure what to do to fix this. If i press the fire button it shows the mains screen with watts, ohms, etc. But it goes back to the charging animation within a few seconds. I'm running an 18650 3.7V 2100MAH battery. Is this a battery problem or a software problem. And is it fixable? or is my vape just broken forever?

I'm not sure. You could try making sure the battery terminals are clean/wipe them off, and try the battery again. If you can get another battery to try, I would do that. Your other option is to bring it to where you purchased it, to see if they can help/replace and/or warranty if it's an electronics issue. Sounds like you have something electrical going on, whether battery or mod, do you have another mod you can test the battery in? In any case, I don't think I would try to vape on it until I had a better handle on what's going on with it.

If you have a Freedom Smoke USA near you they seem to adore and sell a lot of KT products, might be a good B&M to go to if that's a possibility for you....

I'm not sure either, but
a) that doesn't sound like battery.
b) that could be a firmware problem which might be fixable by flashing the chip BUT I don't flash anything, ever. Too risky. Too many bricked mods.
Unless you have the all-too-familiar problems (in the industry) with returning mods/batteries, I would try and get it replaced. Depends how long of course.

I agree with djsvapour. If it is a battery problem you probably wouldn't get any display at all. The easy way to test this is to replace the battery. It will either work or it won't. I have a Topbox mini and the battery I got with it was 18650 3.7V 2500MaH. I'm not familiar enough with this equipment to know if that matters.
This sounds more like corrupted firmware. While I tend to agree with djsvapour about not flashing firmware that's working, you're essentially dead in the water. The worst outcome from flashing the firmware is that you'll have a mod that's still not working.
The first thing I would do is call the place where you bought it. This may be a known problem they can help you with. Depending on how recently you bought it they may be willing to replace it or discount a replacement for you. You won't know until you ask.

Welcome and glad you joined. I have provided a little more information which might help choosing/evaluating batteries.
