Kangertech kbox mini not working

I just got a kangertech kbox mini from a friend who wasn't using it and it worked fine after the first day and then started making weird bubbling noises and not firing whatsoever!! i changed the coil from a 0.5 to a 0.15 and reassembled it many times but there's no change. the screen doesn't specify any problems and i've tried different wattage but it's continuing to not work!! pls help

Does the kbox fire 0.15ohm coils?

The subox's can probably do this, but the original kbox is not exactly an advanced piece of kit.

What does the screen say when you hit the fire button?

I think the subox only fires down to .3 ohms.

I'm not 100% sure, that could contribute though. it reads the 0.15 coil as 0.20 on the screen and it was reacting the same when i had a 0.5 coil in

Welcome and glad you joined. Looks like there are two pages concerning the "K box".

The original subox mini 50w only allows kanthal at .3 ohms or greater.
