Kangertech Evod Battery 1000mah charging

Hi All,

Does anyone know if the above battery needs it's own usb charger or can I use the one I got with an older battery. I know the thread has to be the same but was wondering about power etc.

I wouldn't recommend using a charger that wasn't specifically made for that device. There have been some incidents over things like that. it seems like it would work, and you'd think it would, but I think some may push the power too fast for the device and others aren't enough....

Ok Tinkie, many thanks for your reply, think I will just buy a usb charger designed for that battery.

hey, had a 1000 mah with a 510 thread............. got it cause somebody said it would be good for an all day vape..........

it was.......... but I took it back today and got a 650 mah............

reason 1........ the 1000 mah too twice as long to charge (maybe it did need a different charger? but didn't get warm or anything...)

reason 2............it was quite a bit longer than the 650 mah..... I like to stand up my clearos, and with that longer battery they would just fall over... not only that, but I like to keep my clearo in an eye glasses pouch, fits nice when its a 650, and will fit a spare battery and a 10 ml juice right beside it in the pouch........ or, I can just bring two clearos in that pouch........ the 1000 mah would stick out....

that's all..... the extra battery life wasn't worth it to me

Most of the adapters that thread in the battery are rated at 4.2v and 420mah charge rate, so yeah it should be safe to use another adapter, but just in case always make sure your batteries are in good shape, dry etc before plugging them in and check that the battery does not get hot while charging (a few degrees warmer is normal) if they overheat while charging its time to replace them.
