Hello all, new to the forums. I recently bought my first Ecig, it's a kangertech emow and I love it, works great. Only problem I have is getting a burnt taste, I've cleaned the whole thing with alcohol multiple times, tried different juices, have it set to the lowest voltage setting. But I'm thinking maybe it's the coils? My coils are 0.8 ohms, would having higher ohm coils help? Any help is appreciated. Happy vaping.

Hi Ricky. Though I'm not familiar with that specific tank I do know one you burn up a coil the only recourse is to swap out the coil. You will need to dump the juice in the tank as well as it could have absorbed some of the burnt taste. Your coil should be a 1.8 ohm or a 1.5 for that equipment (from google).

Awesome thanks! I've switch coils three times in 1 week :/ the five replacement coils that came with the starter kit are 0.8 ohm. I'm gonna go get a 1.8 ohm coil tomorrow and test out the difference. Very much appreciated!

When you are new, It takes a little Experimentation and Trial n' Error to find the Best Combination of e-Liquid to Ohms to Volts/Watts.

I use emow's and protank 3's (same coils), but I've never tried the sub ohm coils on them. I'd look up whatever battery you're using and double check that it can fire down to 0.8ohms. Some batteries aren't rated for that, so who knows how they'd act. But as was mentioned before, the 1.5 and 1.8 are what's usually used in these tanks and I've almost never gotten burnt taste out of them unless you really crank the power. Emow's also come with an airflow controller, when putting in a fresh coil, wait 10 minutes for it to saturate the wicking material, then have it so only 1 or 2 airholes are open then do the long inhales without firing the battery. Start low with power and work your way up.

And what kind of battery do you have anyways?
