So after my last post about my nightmares with my vip photon and leaky/crappy tanks, I took my first trip to a proper vape shop and bought the kanger Subvod.i tried it and, aside from not liking the juice in it, liked the vape. Now, I'm currently obsessed (and have been for months and months) with blackcurrant liquid which I get from onepoundeliquids.com. But the man in the shop said he really recommended me using a better quality juice as they are a lot thicker. To be honest, when he showed me the juice, it didn't look much different in consistency to what I use now. Plus I pay a pound a bottle, whereas theirs is about £16.

But he told me if I was going to continue using the cheap liquid, I'd need to use a very low nicotine one but I'd probably find it gets too hot. Is this true? I never know whether these ppl are telling the truth or just spinning me a line to make me spend more.

If you like the cheap juice, keep using it. Price is hardly an indication of flavor. However, if you are now using a subohm tank, you probably would lower the nic concentration from what you would normally order. You don't say what you typically buy, but for example if your buy the blackcurrant with 24 mg nic in it, you'll probably find 12 mg adequate with the new tank. Good luck!

What a liar! I cannot believe this. Do NOT listen to this

Your liquid maker (blackcurrant) has gone to a lot of trouble to adjust the PG/VG ratios in their liquid. The ratio gets more VG the lower you go in strength.

I can tell you that the maximum PG is 50% in the higher strength liquids. You can use 50/50 liquid in a subvod no trouble.

I'm afraid he is having you on to sell you 30ml for £16.

It's good you asked about this. If you go back (I wouldn't if it was me) tell him he's been busted by the power of the internet! :D

Haha as soon as he said that, my first thought was here for the real answer. I know they must love ppl like me who walk in there a bit clueless. Unlucky for them, I didn't buy! Thanks. That means I can happily vape away on my blackcurrant which I have been, just with the 3mg :)
The 3mg (or 6mg) is the best choice as it's the highest VG. That doesn't excuse what he was saying, clearly you don't want to be vaping high PG in a subtank.
The Mega subvod uses a 22mm subtank (topfill) and even if you use it in power mode, it will use a lot of liquid. I approve that you are sticking with the £1 liquid as costs could spiral.

Yeah, at worst you'll go through coils a little faster but with the difference in price for juice you'll be able to afford a whole pack of coils lol. That was a great pick, I believe the Mega TC comes with the SubTank Mini so you can buy the RBA deck separately later as well.

This was also what I thought. If I'm buying £15/£16 bottles of juice, I'll probably be spending close to what I did on cigarettes!

Thanks. I'm just having to get used to it as the taste is different using this rather than my VIP and also the way you vape. With the VIP, it's very similar to how you smoke a cigarette but I'll get used to it i guess.

They do make 1.2 and 1.5ohm coils as well. It just don't come with any.
Indeed they do.
Today, I'm using a subtank. It's on a new mod; a Sigelei 213.
People keep running that mod down saying it can't 'do' the watts.
I can report, it's working great!

At 21.3 watts. Awesome :)

Is that the 1.2 or 1.5? I would guess she should start with 1.5ohm then work up to 1.2ohm. Maybe get a 2nd one later so you have two batteries and tanks. I personally have 3 MTL and 1 DTL direct 2 lung Tank. MTL to help the habit of smoking and a DTL to get my nicotine fix fast lol.. use MTL about 6x per DTL. Works best for me.
