Hi Guys,

So I used the Kanger cupti for a few months last year before I gave up the ghost & at the start it was wicked. Loads of flavor & plenty of vape kicking off it.

I got myself the cupti 2 last week as my other mod started playing up & it doesn't seem to be producing much vapor. Has anyone got any ideas to why this would be?

I'm using the SS coil at 230c, the juice I have is a 20/80 PG/VG ratio.

I'm not the most tech savy guy when it comes to vape mods etc. so any advice would be great.

It's a Cupti. I suggest the trash and then a nasty letter to Kangertech reminding them they have a reputation to uphold.

Oh, wait. You ALREADY had a Cupti which worked (fair play!) but the new one is totally lame.

That'll be the temperature coils not working. Try a normal vaping coil and never go back.
For the most part, factory temp control coils simply limit your vape to a whisp of pathetic mist within 3 nano-seconds of pressing the fire button.

I know, I know.... not very helpful BUT I have not yet had a temp coil that actually works. That is not a joke, even if my post is a little tongue in cheek.

I'll bunker down now for the in-comings......

Cheers man,

hahaha Na I get what you mean, to be honest with you, loads of the reviews I read online made it out like it was a pretty decent little (It's not little, its massive and weighs the same as a small elephant) mod. Do you have any recommendations on a coil that would work with it?

I have emailed Kanger already telling them they're taking the p*ss as it's a brand new mod and SHOULD work fine.

To be honest, it was only £35 so I can't really expect much can I?

Hi Jack & welcome
I'm still chuckling over what djsvapor said, especially the last sentence.

I'm in agreement with him but lots of folks like Kanger and like that sort of AIO (all in one). I tried one of those, albeit it was a Joyetech and not a Kanger, but what I didn't like about it was the restricted airflow. That in itself will very much limit how much vapor can be produced. Airflow to the coil is critical to producing vapor as the air must carry the vapor and the heat away from the coil in order for more vapor to be produced. Instead of a direct flow that design drags air in at the top through very small holes, directing it down between nested tubes, through the coil and then back up the inner tube. Most good attys have a very short and direct flow to the coil, sufficiently voluminous to do the trick.

To be fair though that type of vape is for MTL (mouth to lung) vapers as opposed to DTL (direct to lung) vapors such as myself. MTL folks do much smaller clouds and see it as closer to the act of smoking. We DTL folks like bigger clouds going straight down the windpipe. So you may have to consider a different device as that one will always be somewhat limited in vapor production. It is a pity that Kanger didn't include an atty adapter the way Joyetech did as I can still use my mod with better attys.

There are folks here though that may be able to help get better performance out of it for you. Good luck with it.

I've just noticed you mentioned £s. UK?

I bet you one of our £s it will work just fine with a regular Kanthal coil.

I was under the impression that the SS coils were suited to DTL vaping? As mentioned before with my previous cupti I managed to get decent sized clouds.

The airflow is pretty good & the drip tip is wide enough. I've had a play about this weekend and found that if I just use it in the standard wattage mode it works pretty okay. It's just the SS mode itself that doesn't seem to want to play ball.

Cheers for all your help guys.
