I have both a Kanger Aerotank Mega and a Kanger Aerotank Mini that I use.
Both of these new clearomizers use the new style duel coil heads that have the non-exposed wicks.
I also have a box of the older style exposed wick-end version that was used in the earlier version of the original Kanger Aerotank.
I have used both types of these coil heads in my Mega and Mini. As long as the ohms are the same between the two, I can't tell any difference between these coil heads.
However, there is one big difference between them ... The newer style (non-exposed wick) coil head cost twice as much as the older style.
I think I am going to buy the older style from now on (at least for as long as they are available).
Have any of you folks tried both of these coil / wick heads in your various Aerotanks? ... Could you really tell any difference in the vape?
