Hi again.

I'm really not having much luck with my joyetech purchase. Side note - I bought this unit to AVOID constantly replacing parts :/

I have left it barging overnight twice now and upon unplugging it, it is still showing light blue rather than white. I was under the impression this meant 50% battery, am I wrong? Any thoughts on this? Also, whilst I'm on the subject, I'll be buying a new battery soon, any recommendations for a good quality 1000-1300mah with variable voltage?

Thanks again, I don't know what I'd do without this forum!

I don't think blue means that, try turning it off ( 5 clicks ) then hold the button for a few seconds ( 5 to 10 ) if it blinks turn it back on and see if the color is different, the ones I have used in the past had 2 voltage settings, one color is a little higher voltage if I remember correctly

And as far as a ego type vv I recommend a vision spinner or Joytech twist.

Or do what I just did and get a mvp, I got it saturday afternoon and I haven't charged it yet, still on the charge it had right out of the box, about 5-7 ml of juice and its still not even half way drained, I've heard some people say they charge it every 3 days with heavy vaping.

I'm loving it so far and its not as big as I thought it would be for a box mod.

Welcome to ECF

Just a few questions

How old are your batteries? (I am assuming it is new - all new ecig batteries do not have memory issues so this will not be the issue if some mentions it)

Did the light on the charger change from red to green?

How long did it last vaping on it before it shut down? (I get about 2 hours of chain vaping from a 650 mah with a 2.8 ohm head)

Are you cleaning out the inside of the 510 threads with a paper towel before you screw it on your charger?

How many milliamps is the output of your charger? (should say 5v 500ma input and 4.2v and about 400+ma output)

the chargers that come with cig-a-likes will take forever to charge an ego battery
(cig-a-likes are generally any where from 80mah to 180mah - connecting them to and ego charger will kill them and possibly make them vent)

Most online vendors will have a twist or vision vv ego style battery in the $27-32 range

or if you don't need the feel of an ego style battery here is a fantastic deal on an MVP2 that will give you both VV and VW and charge your phone in an emergency (if you have a cable with you)

Where did you purchase it? Most suppliers offer at least a 2 month (some longer) warranty on Joyetech products.

I'm not familiar with your battery. Is it charged? Make sure you don't screw it in too tightly into the charger or clearo/carto because the center button on the battery can get pushed down and it won't make good contact. You can unbend a paperclip and raise the center batter pin very slightly- carefully! and see if that helps.

Is it the correct charger?

Do you have a multimeter? You could check your battery and charger.

That's right! Possibly it is turned off.

If you have a genuine Joye Tech eGo-C Twist battery, the light on the battery is only 1 color--a bluish white. The charger has a red light for charging that will flash green while a battery is connected and actively charging. It will turn a solid green when the battery is fully charged or no battery is attached.

To turn your battery off or on--Click the button 5 times fairly quickly. It will flash a few times and then be off or on. I always double check by pressing it one more time to see if it lights up or not--yes means on, no means off.

There is not any indication of how much battery life is left. It works until it falls below the output threshold then it blinks rapidly about 10 times and shuts off. It also does the rapid blink thing when you first attach it to the charger.

There is an eGo-C Upgrade model that I just found out about. Is that what you have? Joyetech eGo-C Upgrade Battery

It blinks blue or orange depending upon which "mode" it is in. It blinks when charging in either mode. Was it blinking when it was on the charger? I am totally confused by the translated English instructions and wondering why anyone would choose this battery over a Twist, Winder or Spinner style. Anyone else have an eGo-C Upgrade battery?

Not sure if this got addressed directly yet. Since you said "Joyetech" purchase, I'm assuming it's the real deal.

Light Blue on Joyetech Ego-C = 25% or less charge. Likely the charger is bad if this is a new battery/charger set-up. I have had this happen before and a new charger fixed the issue right up. If the light turns green on the charger like the charge is complete, and the button (when pushed) is still light blue, the charger is a likely candidate. I'd try that first, as if I'm wrong, you can always use an extra charger, right??? setback maybe $5 if it's bad. But make sure it's the correct charger as well.

Also, I got an Ego-C Upgrade awhile back by accident and actually like it pretty well. When glowing orange, it burns in unregulated mode, so when it gets low on charge, the voltage will not be consistent. I have an eVic for VV usage, but mostly like the ego-c stock range voltage mixed with the Vivi Nova or Kangertech Protank 2, with 2.5 - 2.8 ohm head. But that's just my .02!

I hope this helps!!!
