Hi,

Big problem. The Cubis instructions show that the mouthpiece is removable. They even offer a glass tip with the tank. The problem is, it's impossible to remove the mouthpiece. I've lost a lot of skin on my fingers. I tried rubber bands and duct tape. It does not come off. Any tips? Someone at the factory woke up on the wrong side of the bed and decided to be a ..........

One more question: Is it possible to replace the wide bore mouthpieces with narrower ones? If so, what do I look for and where? Thanks.

The mouth piece on Cubis are very very tight the first time to get out. Wiggle it side to side as it does come out. May even need a pair of pliers to accomplish the task. Cover jaws of pliers whit electrical tape to eliminate any marks. Any 510 drip tip will fit your Cubis. CHEERS!
Just the flat part is the drip tip not the fancy double ring at bottom. That is part of the tank.

What if it's REALLY REALLY tight?

OK. I don't see any double rings. There's a red mouthpiece plus what the manual called the chimney. Part of that is a tube that screws out.
The fancy kinda part on bottom of the drip tip. Looks like it goes into the tank but it does not. Only the smooth flat part of the drip tip comes out

This picture shows what can be removed. Just the smooth sided drip tip pulls out. The drip tip is shown next to the tank. The part that the drip tip slides into doesn't pull out. It's threaded into the tank.

Run the mouthpiece under a hot tap and try again.

If that fails, put it in the freezer or an ice bath and try again. (try standing the tank upside down in ice water)

OK. I'll try that and report back. Hot water first. The freezer's sealed shut, but keeping it right next to the freezer should be almost as cold .

Update: Hot water worked. It wasn't even 60 seconds. It generally just long enough for my pain tolerance to allow for. Still took a few minutes after that, but it started to come out. This time, I used paper towel instead of rubber bands/tape. Trying the glass piece now. Now I know what the other user meant by double rings. They're painted red, just like the steel mouthpiece. Thanks, Y'all.
