Itaste SVD and questions about general mod info

Got an SVD today and because it was my first mod, I have questions. On the net, people tend to define Wattage/Voltage/etc but don't really explain how they relate to your vaping experience. I know that if i go too high, my juice will burn, and I know that drips require different adjustments than tanks. I also got a magma dripper FOR FREE and I can't get it to work properly (based on forums, ive gathered that it might have something to do with ohms) but anyway, please let me in on some of your wisdom
