istick Pico 75 is my second mod.I received it today and I am puzzled why I have to press fire buton twice to be able to vape. On my Aspire Zelos it is enough to press once for every puff. Is it normal for pico or there is something wrong with it? I can make puffs by pressing button once only if time beetween them are extremely short if I will make let say 4- 5 seconds brake I need to make 2 presses on firebuton to be able vape.

I don't own that mod. Looking at a picture of the pico, the fire button looks just like my eleaf istick 50. You can't press on its extreme sides but regardless of whether you press directly on the middle or to each side of the middle, the thing fires. Sounds as if you have a faulty device. Warranty return?

Check the bottom of your device. If it looks like the one on the left, it's a counterfeit.

I have no idea why your mod is doing that. Wild stab: did you check that your mod is not in "locked" position. Or, perhaps you aren't pressing the button firmly enough, OR perhaps some e-liquid got inside or stuck to the button, making it difficult to fire. I would clean that area with rubbing alcohol to the best of your ability, and see if it makes a difference. If it doesn't, you may need to warranty the device for an electrical fault.. I think that may be a real possibility, given that it's performing differently at different times. If you aren't sure about your settings and etc., I might watch a youtube review demo or two, to see if you can isolate the problem.

If none of that works, I'd suggest warrantying it. Best of luck,

Anna

May be a faulty mod as it is suppose to make contact on 1st press.
The outside button you press pushes the plastic button on the board itself inside the mod .
When is does not fire on first press what is the screen displaying?

Now if your connection from you tank is not making good contact as it should with the pin on the mod it could be erratic and screen will say no atomizer. Try some other tanks and see if anything changes if you find then it works everytime you press your original tank is then not properly making contact.
If you can i would return it if above fails.

I'd say something is wrong with the board or software in the mod, the reason I'd say that is usually when the switches fail you'll either have to press them really hard or they'll do lots of quick clicks when you press them and the way your describing it sound like the board is awaiting multiple clicks of the fire button.

You could try re-flashing the mod's firmware if its upgradeable, see if it helps.

Could be a number of reasons.
Might like to re read:
iStick-Pico-User-Manual.pdf
or
Could contact:
local B&M Vape Shop (Visit) -----Might be simple.
Vendor who sold it ---see if they will repair or replace or advise (any authorized distributor).
Manufacturer contact ---see if they will repair or replace or advise.

Thank you all for great response. It seems to be not authentic Eleaf product. I tried to upgrade firmware but mod is not recognized by my PC or my Mac. I bought it on Ebay for $24. I requested return details from seller and he proposed half refund and me keeping product. I agreed. I will avoid hassle of shipping it back and paying for shipping it back. For $12 it is worth to keep it... mod is working although I have to wake it up everytime with one click and vape on second click... hope that tank and 2 coils that came with this kit will work OK. Anyway I will use Pico only as a back up or when charging my Aspire Zelos.

Janusz -
Couple of questions:
1. Did you follow the instructions for upgrading provided by eLeaf? It might not plug-and-play which would explain why your computer isn't seeming to recognize the device. On my Vaporesso I had to download the software first, run it, then plug in the device a specific way (turn it off, remove the battery, press the fire button while plugging it in, not releasing it until it makes a connection - directions were in a text file included in the zipped, downloaded files). Dunno exactly what the procedure for the Pico is cuz I haven't upgraded mine yet (I actually read negative feedback about the most recent version so I'm sort of holding off right now since mine works - kind of the 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' mentality).
2. Are you sure you're using a data cable, not just a charging cable?
3. Might it be in stealth mode? I don't know why this would be the issue but who knows. (Press & hold the fire button and the "-" button while the device is turned on to toggle stealth on & off.)

Another question, Janusz -
Did you buy this used (or maybe it had been opened and tested)? If so, maybe the previous owner changed some of the settings? ...
Issue with Istick Pico (from eBay)
LyLyV,
This Pico is definitelly not authentic - I scratched and checked security code and according to eleafworld.com this security code was entered over 11,000 times !!! I tried three different usb cables (my phone charging cables plus the one that came with mod) and followed Pico's firmware instaling directions but I am not able see it on my computer. I just wonder if Arctic Fox would recognize it.

I discovered another puzzling fact. If Pico is connected to usb and charging through usb port I can vape on first fire button press without any problem but as soon as I disconnect I have to press fire button and follow up with second press to vape. I found that Pico user manual states -"please make sure you are using a high rate18650 cell whose continuous discharge current should be above 25A" My cell is 3.7v 3000mah Max30A Continuous 20A so maybe I have to find better cell? I bought Pico because I wanted removable battery but now I realize that it is a lot of hassle with them... I should buy another Aspire Zelos and do not worry which battery cell will work or not... considering that Zelos comes with Nautilus 2 tank( that cost separetelly around $24) for $50- cost of just the mod with built in battery is equal to two premium cells.

Honestly, if you got a fake, or a broken pico, IDK about the cells. I would just return it if you can.

Although I myself am not a fan of picos, well, in the brief time I owned an authentic one, it worked fine, was reliable etc. I wasn't a fan of battery life and the mod generally, but I used Samsung 25s in it, which are my usual battery. But I am a very low wattage vaper.

You should tailor your (authentic) battery to how you vape, not *necessarily* the mod specs, although if you want to vape at higher wattage, you will need a single battery that is rated to perform well. I'm not saying your batteries are good or bad necessarily (although, they should be from a site that is trusted to be authentic and most people use the big three (Sony, Samsung, and LG) depending on what you want to vape it at, will depend on what type of battery you use.

Did you get your battery from a source you know is authentic and etc. ?

This blog is a helpful resource for figuring it out... Mooch's blog | E-Cigarette Forum

^^ What she said

...Except I do like my Pico (though I am kinda liking my Swag more), and I just got pretty much away from everything that doesn't have a removable battery, aside from my little T20. At a certain point, you're going to want to be able to remove the battery.
Def. check out mooch's guides and his YT channel for all things battery. I'm currently using all LG HG2s in my Pico and other devices. They are working great for me.
